The direction they arrive from varies, but you have decent warning time and good field of fire with some protection from the gunners.

Another good place to wait is that open field below Paula Madera's place, across the road and to the right of the helicopter pad. If you go back far enough you can see down the road to your right and all the way back on your left to the Sentinel control post and still get close enough in time to wreck your havoc.

Thirdly, the last two spots I know of are in Smugglers Cove. One, that stretch of road out front of the woman you meet to do the Sacred land Mission. And two, almost directly east of there, down by the Sentinel control post and the factory on that little lake.

I don't farm convoys but when I want to loot one, (once I've got that better equipment from convoys perk), I chopper out to these places hoping to grab some elite parts. Anyhoo, Those are the places that sit topmost in my mind as "regularly occurring" convoy spots. Good hunting.

Thanks. Will check these locations next time I want to seek out some convoys.

DV20Katana -"I didn't have the patience to look for and stake out convoy routes so well done to those of you who do it
I took the easy way out to buy every weapon from the shop."

I've done something similar, though not every weapon in the shop. Just my favorites. But then they require MK up-grades. :-)

That's what I do on top of a hill so I can see - and with a drone. Just be patient. Unfortunately the rewards aren't that great but it is a nice challenge.

I usually jump in a heli and fly around looking for them. Once found I check the road they are on and fly ahead and land. Sync shot the driver take out the rest, rinse and repeat.
Works out pretty well. Yesterday I got 4500 credits from one truck, never saw it that high before and it only happened to me that one time. The rest were in the 1500-2000 range.

    That’s a good idea. Duh!

I had a convoy payout 10,500 the other day. Most are 1500. Occasionally one for 3000 or 4500.

Here are some of my favorite camping spots
the road that passes by Skell tech security
Where the tracks cross the highway near the fish plant
the highway stretch from the hospital to the solar array - they seem to run several routes around there.
    the road atop skell dam
the construction site near auroa hospital

Besides the helo trick you can now easily take down a convoy with a minigun equipped vehicle.

Basically anytime I leave a bivouac near a major road a convoy usually comes along pretty soon. I've got a crapload of useless skell creds from all the convoy hunting I've done.

Found an activity that gives a lot more xp in a shorter amount of time.driving and having the team going hot.
With the amount of patrols that spawn all around you I went from lol 50 to 54 in 45 minutes.

one oddity I have noticed is I'll be flying and seeing nothing, then I land and a convoy spawns
