The future of Breakpoint after Motherland

What do you guys think, do you want to see a continuation of updates for Breakpoint?

what I personally think. I believe that this game has potential and it is still capable of being revealed. IF the game gets a couple of major, global updates. I still love this game and I want to see new updates, and im willing to pay for new content, if it is good

in addition to the above, I want to share my vision of a good continuation for Breakpoint. Due to technical reasons, I believe that there will be no major changes in the basic mechanics in the game, so I will not share ideas on this. But I want to share ideas on how to make the game better based on what is already there. Breakpoint has two global problems that significantly reduce the pleasure:

    1. Map has long been overdosed with missions. It is impossible to get full-fledged pleasure when everything happens in the same locations over and over again. If there is a global update in the future - first of all I want to see a new large territory
    2. Open world, outside of the enemy bases - is very wrongly organized. To truly breathe life into the game - the open world needs to be redesigned. And the main indicator of the correctness of decisions in development should be - fast travel. If the open world of the game is not of interest to the player, the player will often use fast travel. The best thing you can do is to create such an open world in which it will be truly interesting and enjoyable to be, which will create interesting adventures for the player, so much so that there will not even be a desire to use fast travel. Moving through the open world - the player must meet interesting events on his way, scenarios that challenge, create an atmosphere, create genuine interest in participating in these events. What's in the game now? Boring small groups of enemies that move around the map with very primitive, simple routes. And this is happening everywhere. There is not a single place in the game where the enemies would be placed at least a little meaningfully

    Recipe:

    - New large territory, larger than Golem Island. For example - filled with dense jungles. Not a semi-tropic as it is now in the game, but a dense luscious jungles, with large hills, waterfalls and other beauty. There is no such nature anywhere in the Breakpoint, and I really miss it, especially after the beautiful dense jungles of Wildlands

    - New enemy bases, outposts. Quality designed, without copy-past buldings. Small, isolated from each other bases, of which the whole game now consists, create a rather unpleasant feeling. The game really lacks large, solid, structured enemy bases, getting into which, you feel that you are in a kind of voluminous sandbox. Liberty location is closest to what I am trying to describe. But in its essence it is just a set of the same small outposts isolated from each other, which do not intersect in any way. There should be large bases filled with a lot of enemies. The bases should be interconnected and form a single system

    - expanded civillians system, can be another way of giving life to an open world. An increase in their number, the addition of traffic on the roads, various activities of people

    - expanding the behavior of enemies. Adding sleep, eating, etc.

    - Wild animals. Such as - tigers, lions, panthers, snakes and other animals dangerous to the player's life. These will not be just peaceful animals walking around. These will be animals that will pose a danger to the player, will be able to attack the player and have a thoughtful AI that will not allow the player to be too careless with these animals. For example, panther or puma hide in a tree or bushes when they see a player. And they waited for an good moment for a covert attack

    - Scenario and missions. No monotonous missions without a soul. Missions should not leave behind the impression of a boring empty process. There need to be thoughtful personalities of the characters, expressive appearance. Faces that have normal facial expressions in cutscenes. You can even surprise the players by adding romances. Characters will have their own personality, a special style and a plot that reveals this personality, causing the player to empathize

    - Bosses. Each boss will have their own special behavior, which will require an individual approach from the player. Each of the bosses will not be an empty, faceless ghosts

    - Listen to your audience. There are a large number of great requests, since the release

with one exception. Liberty has been totally underutilized. I'd love to see that become much more populated with enemies and patrols.

I would rather see a proper SP oriented sequel where your actions acutally matter.

No matter how good some things are in the game. The fact that the game is using respawn system of MMORPG is just wrong and it wont be fixed in breakpoint it needs some work on the engine imho...

Just give us Moa Island, some maritime interdiction and ship boarding missions, and use Liberty City for some urban combat and we could easily keep busy until the next game.

From ubi standpoint that would make zero financial sense

Game is 2yrs old, if another Ghost Recon is in works and given lead time, one could expect next rendition 22/23
So unlikely ubi will put next gen ideas into this where return would be nominal

Motherland excluding bug fixes is likely last hurrah for this edition,

Given folk here have given pert much a complete template for a gold game, failure on ubi part would be inexcusable in next gen game

Motherland does offer a glimmer of hope that next release will be EPIC

Yes. And there's another island situated beyond Moa that is not visible on the map but is visible from Moa if you use trainer to disable the drone swarm. I'm guessing the reason they have not opened Moa yet is because they're still thinking what to do with the other island. If they open Moa, then they should open this island as well or they should delete it completely.

Man, I would love a mission where you to board a container ship, sweeping it for enemies.

Ironically, this is also what we said before BP arrived, believing that they would use Wildlands' formula as a base for the next game and expand it. Boy oh boy how wrong we were

Yeah, let’s see more urban stuff, different architecture and aesthetics, new enemies… NPC behavior improved (sleeping, eating, working, listening to music, watching Netflix… whatever).

An open world map needs to feel alive, that was one of the issues with BP, originally, how barren and repetitive Auroa can be.
