I still long for the day of voice commanding the AI teammates who have so many tactical options in the command menu. SOCOM, I miss you. Please come back to me remastered or totally new on the next gen. Or may your command features find its way into it's distant cousin, Ghost Recon

Yeah, it’s pretty good. I was playing around after your post on Go to vs Hold and actually found a good way to control them in a fight. If you constantly use the ‘go to’ and put them in harms way, they’re quite effective.

Use caterpillar to advance or withdraw making sure they are always the enemy side of your position, and they fight quite effectively, without you having to clear them to go Rambo.

Yeah, agreed. That’s what I did in Wildlands as well and it worked well.

I had no idea you could do this.

Is this explained anywhere in the game? With how UI overload-happy they are I'm surprised there isn't an element that shows the dpad inputs when you bring up the team command wheel.

PS4, when you bring up the item wheel, there’s a icon bottom right that shows the inputs. (I think it’s bottom right anyway).

I tried this last night and when you hold the item wheel there is now a little picture at the bottom showing the d pads and little actions so they have added it.

It’s still not as quick as wildlands but it’s a step in the right direction.

Also last night while I was reloading, Fixit wasted a Bodark that came from behind. I was very impressed, not sure when they updated the AI but when I played before the AI would let enemies walk right past them straight up and shoot us in the back.

I wish I said something about this before. But I do agree this is better than WL's version of holding the command button down, and using one of the analog sticks to issue a command. Though GRAW 2 had a better approach to issuing commands, personally.

Glad to help, everyone. Truth is, it's been this way for quite a while now, not long after AI teammates were introduced to Breakpoint.

The D-pad commands appear at the bottom whenever you bring up the weapon wheel. I haven't bothered with pressing Triangle to shift to the command wheel in ages now.

I don't really bother controlling them. I ignore them unless I'm doing a sync shot. I sometimes tell them to hold position, but that's about it.
