I just bought this game, and was playing fine, until today when I loaded up my saved game, and it has no sound. I've tried everything I've found on the forums, setting the controller to "xbox" instead of "auto", turning off vibration. Verified files, even uninstalled/reinstalled, no luck. Heck I even disconnected the controller entirely to play with keyboard and mouse, but to no avail. Updated latest drivers for video and sound, no luck. This is the only game that is doing this, even other ubisoft games via the launcher, like AC Valhalla, work fine. Just this one has no sound. And yes, the volume is turned up and the sound settings are enabled in the game.
Any ideas? It's very mysterious and frustrating.
Hey, cymorile and Seven_Legs!
Sorry to hear that you are both experiencing this issue. Are either of you also experiencing FPS drops?
Can we ask that you both try the troubleshooting here.
If this does not work please let us know.
Thank you.
Thanks for letting us know that you've tried those troubleshooting steps for us, cymorile. I'm sorry to hear that you're still missing your audio in-game.
Would you be able to let us know more about your audio configuration? This will help us to have a better understanding of your current set-up:
- Do you use a headset or speakers?
- Do you use a wired or a wireless connection? If you use a wireless connection, could you please try a wired connection?
- Do you have any other audio devices connected to your PC? If so, could you please try unplugging these and only having your dedicated audio output connected.
- Would you be able to let us know what our sound settings are? If you can provide an image showing these, that would be very helpful.
I'd recommend uploading any images to a sharing platform, such as Google Drive or One Drive, as this will allow you to post a shareable link within this thread.

so, after doing a lot of searching on the internet I read someone saying that they sort of fix the audio issue.
like me they play on 4k modern tv with HDMI cable. to get sound working on Ubisoft games, run the game if there is no sound then unplug you cable from TV and re-plug it in and the sound works. It works.
which is ridiculous when as I have said before that I have numerous games by different companies and there are no issues.

Just to confirm it's the HDMI cable you're referring to?
If so, before unplugging it, I'd suggest tabbing out and clicking the volume icon to check which device is being used for your output (it may be being changed from your TV, which re-plugging in the cable is forcing it to jump back to).
Feel free to let us know if this is the case as it'd be handy for us to be aware of.
Thank you!
