Operation Motherland is chapter 4? | Forums

Hi,
I started playing just few days ago, I am still doing main quest, chapter one, I'd like to know how the new operation motherland will be introduced and activable in game, as a chapter 4 in the board or what, because I want to complete all the 3 chapters before playing this new content.

Like Ed says: Ubi is calling this a "new mode" which is the same terminology they used in Wildlands for Ghost Mode, and Guerilla Mode, and Mercenaries Mode.
All of these were/are completely separate from the main game. Ubi has also referred to Episode 1, 2, and 3 as "Story Mode".

I really hope it works slightly different than the modes WL offered, as I have zero intent of playing on a new character that won't be able to access the gear I've already had to smash my face against a brick wall to get.

This is a very important question... and if you start with a new character... what gear do you start with? I better not have to run around Auroa trying find some night vision! When Nomad steps off the chopper to talk to Haruhi, he better have a full tier-1 kit ready to roll.

I'm sure that will be possible and there will be a tab or toggle to activate that content.

1,2,3 were boring IMO, but I can see why you want to do this. I would imagine it will be separate from them anyway.

I have a feeling this might be something else entirely… more akin to the addition of AI teammates and Ghost Experience, than our regular “Episodes” so far (Deep State, Red Patriot & etc…). Motherland feels more like the next chapter, the evolving of this particular world, a new leaf, a brand new Operation (after Greenstone)…

Could be dead wrong, though. I guess we’ll know for sure soon enough, right?
