Alright. SCAgent95 told me the same thing, to keep it short and simple since everything is already explained in the letter.Originally Posted by CoastalGirl Go to original post
Well for the approval process I guess this will take some time, unless the Ubisoft executives had the good idea to give enough freedom to the team. I hope that the Dead Space remake will help to convince them, it definitely shows (many other examples) that it could be feasible.
As for who would handle it on their side, I presume a community developer would have the responsibility of it. I would personally prefer something like EA Motive is doing, where main devs directly talk and interact with members of that community council.
I think I will send the letter around february 15th, two months exactly after the announcement of the remake.
We're currently at 727 supporters but I'll make my best to reach 1000 before this date. It won't be easy but I agree with some people who told me that it would be a nice and symbolic number.
Meanwhile I'm still waiting to answers from youtubers. I will send them another message, hopefully they will reply this time.

Hey there, this is the Splinter Cell Blacklist forums.Originally Posted by AnteMatic0609 Go to original post
You might have better luck asking your question over in the AC Valhalla forums >>>> https://forums.ubisoft.com/forumdisp...ral-Discussion
An important update about the letter. We reached 1000 supporters !!

This took me a lot of time these last days but I'm glad that we reached that milestone
And I would like to do a special thanks to borkh1 from reddit for his precious help in reaching that number !
I will send the letter next week. And of course I'll keep you updated, as usual.. By then here is the draft of the message I will send you, please give me your opinion about it. By the way and with all the NFT thing going crazy since we wrote the letter, I thought it was important to point it out in the message since we don't adress it directly in the letter:
Spoiler: Show
A quick update about the youtubers: I contacted Centerstrain01, CriticalNobody and BigFryTV. Only Centerstrain01 replied, he supports the letter (btw his username is in the list) but he didn't say anything about his community and didn't talk about the letter to them.
So yeah one more refusal from people that I thought would help us.
But anyway we'll make it without them and thanks to this letter, I've met and talked with many awesome Splinter Cell fans
And to end on a positive note, here's another bunch of some of the nicest comments (from Reddit) because these messages are also intended for you :

Chris Auty (creative director on the remake) kindly replied to my message a few days ago, he also authorized me to post his reply on the forums:
It's completely understandable that they still need time to focus on the team first before considering what we have to say and expect, but at least now we know for sure that they have read the letter. Hopefully they will decide to turn towards us early in the development process and create a real productive collaboration that would go way further and way deeper than assigning us a community developer. Let's remain cautious but reading his words, it seems that they're taking this remake seriously and really care about what the community is saying.
Now all we have to do is wait...
I'm really happy to see that! Honestly, all things considered, that's a great response.
He's in a scary position, but hopefully less so now that the announcement was so well received. From what I've seen, they're still saying the right things, and hopefully he and the team continue to feel supported by us.
But for now...yeah...we have to wait a bit. Thankfully we're pros at that, too.![]()
Yes that's quite positive and showing how open and optimistic he is for this remake.
He must be in a difficult position indeed : being in charge to "revive" a dormant franchise with Ubisoft having big expectations for it and the community that has even bigger expectations for this remake, with the most dedicated fans being harsh sometimes but always serious, careful and supportive when things go the right way.
That must be a real challenge for him and the team but since he has a creative mind, I assume he must enjoy this challenge. If he is reading this thread, I wish him good luck and I thank him again for his reply
And I also want to thank all of you here who support the open letter and helped writing and managing it: you CoastalGirl, SCAgent, NoviceGuy, BoBwUzHeRe and all the other ones.
I hope NoviceGuy will be back soon to see the reply, he's the only one I didn't manage to join to warn him.
Anyway I'll keep the open letter available and open if more people want to sign it.
Meanwhile we'll go back in our dark lairs and continue doing what we do best as you say : wait
I was thinking about waiting like 6 months before contacting them again, if they don't come to us before. Like mid-september. What do you think ? Maybe wait longer ? Or should we stop here and wait for them to come to us ?
