Ah, I see. They made it sound like it was a mode. That implies to me that you can turn it on/off. But who knows. If it plays out as you say, that’s not ideal for replay, for sure. But if it’s really good, I’ll be motivated to try it again from scratch with a new character. If it’s not good, than my Nomad is fine retiring to a cabin on the tropical part of the island and calling it a day.Originally Posted by Steven527 Go to original post![]()
Yeah I agree. With the little check boxes in the video, it makes me think that there will be parameters we can toggle when we feel like it so no, I don't believe to "reset" the world we'd need to start a new character.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
My only hope, and this is unlikely as the majority of games keep their missions the same every time, is that things change up each time you play it. I love how in BP they give you clues to figure out for yourself where the objective is. Some are really good like finding the 3 locations to sabotage over in the northern near island for 1 of the scientists - that was done well. But the thing with that is that once you know and find out the locations, they stay the same and so replayability is a bit stale. Would love for certain missions to change on each playthrough e.g. location of the objective changes, enemy patrols change, numbers if enemies change for instance.
Additionally I'd love difficulty to not just mean the AI are more deadly. It should mean that the target objective is harder to reach. E.g. the number of enemies increases, enemies react better, enemy patrols are covered better by others making it trickier to take patrols out without alarming the base, maybe cameras to evade, etc. The mission should be more difficult not just that the AI are deadlier.
I feel they did some of this with the faction missions but would be good if this happens in this new mode too so if it is enjoyable, I can playthrough it more than once on different difficulties (or the same) and see how I get on.
Overall though, from this reveal alone, it does look good so I'm going to stop with the "what ifs" and "it should be's" and just see how it goes. We need to remember this is a free addition to a game 2 years after launch that we've already paid money for so I for 1 am not expecting something that should mimic an entire brand new game or something massively game changing that turns it on its head and back to a more GR type game. That would be quite naive. Those sort of conversations can be had to drive a new GR project and like others have said above, that is where a big improvement in comms between the fanbase and company needs to happen and they need to be commited to doing such.
CM should of made post, would of carried more weight imho. Ubi could of easily of made it happen
Overall video looked good, since ubi has ability to deliver decent PR clips will update be of same quality?
Why more bullet sponge archetype? More Armor, more Armor more armor
These guys look like EOD, bet they don’t plod along like them.
Everyone dislike shot gunners now using same poor bot code equip them with SMG and ARMOR ……. Kool
Ignoring new archetypes, god I hope I CAN turn that looney toon portion off
Looks promising
Gonna have to see what update plays like
A Trailer is one thing, not getting excited until I play Motherland. All Trailers look good, that's what they are meant to do. I do hope it is as good, but is it going to be another short lived experience.
Will the bugs be gone! The pathetically programmed Breachers! Etc.
Most of all is it going to be a pain logging in and staying in.
Anyway fingers crossed for next week.
it's probably going to be another year or two before a new PVE focused Ghost Recon game is ready to release. So you would prefer them NOT to keep the community engaged until then? That makes no sense whatsoever.Killing off support for Breakpoint isn't going to help the next game get created any faster.Originally Posted by Pl4y3r_Tw0 Go to original post
but if you want to go focus on another game, until a new Ghost Recon game is released, you are more than welcomed to. Nobody is going to force you to play Op Motherland, or any future updates.
