Totally agree.. I think. But just to be sure this is how I define "dent"

LOL, this was definitely a homage to Wildlands. However, I think it's overly optimistic to expect fundamental changes to game mechanics or systems at this point. If such changes were coming, they would be hyping them by now.

I doubt we will see any major mechanics changes, but I think that’s the least of Breakpoints problems. My guess is that, at a minimum, the enemy AI gets a reskin (goodbye Sith) and we get a new series of missions with regional or functional bosses similar in structure to Wildlands, but perhaps on a lesser scale.

That would be fine. If they invested in making the AI more challenging or adding an Unidad like heat mechanic, and fix detection, that would be fantastic and greatly enhance replay.

If they somehow have a more live world with civilians going about their daily lives, then that’s huge, but I’m not even sure that makes sense.

Pretty much what I'm expecting. Wildlands styled mission progression + some QoA improvements, but nothing huge. Still I think it'll be better and bigger than the Deep State and Red Patriot DLCs.

At this point in timeline ubi should be pointing deep into bleachers ala the babe

Proclaiming to all they are going to crush it

    Instead crickets

Now it’s not like it’s a national security issue, no one is copying ubi games.

So are they that scared they got it wrong again?

So, in this other hand - a love letter is not really a love letter, but a cheap attempt to play on the feelings of Wildlands lovers (I would like to be wrong)

for example, if a new large location and civil traffic were in update - just a little hint showing these things in the trailer could attract a lot of players attention, because this is something really new and big. This is an instant boost to popularity and positive among players. If something really cool like that, will actually be in the update - there is no reason not to show it for so long. It's just not profitable way of promotion

Maybe the developers did something really grand and not showing this, because decided to make a surprise - I would like it to be that way, but this speculation looks pretty unconvincing, to be honest. But, we will see soon
    Four things inspire a positive

    1. It was officially announced that this update will be the largest and most replayable of all updates that came before

    2. If Nomad returned to Auroa. So, maybe - drone swarms are disabled. The only thing that prevented the player from getting closer to the Moa island was - drone swarms

    3. Perhaps, the invisibility camo will have a worthy reason, that will explain the practical need for this thing. For example, the detection radius and speed can be increased for new Russian enemies, and invisibility camo in this case will be logically appropriate. So, all this new enemies maybe is not just a reskin, but something more

    4. Maybe it seemed to me, but lately there is a lot more activity from the forum team in the Player Support section than before. Perhaps this indicates that they approached this update with more seriousness than before and want to invest as much resources into it as possible

however, all these points can be easily turned into negative connotations. And no matter how soulful the trailer wants to seem, for me personally - it more indicates the lack of good content than its presence. I really want to be wrong

    This is a good point.

You can just imagine the discussion in a rival studio if they got wind of a Ubi release early.

“Look what Ubisoft are going to release. We’re missing a trick here. Take out half the features of the next release and add some bugs. Mediocrity what we should be aiming for!”

It is my understanding that how and when additional content is advertised impacts its 'revenue recognition' and so companies will often not talk about something that is blatantly there so that the accountants don't have to account for it (yet).

Ubi is probably just tired, ya know? What they’re aiming for right now seems to be less Matt Damon and more like a Chad Michael Murray, in that once upon a time, someone thought he looked cute with his top off, told him he could act and gave him lead in a series. But nowadays it’s like, really? This dude, is that what you’re going with? And what’s his name again? Ugh…
