Ok, what is wrong with the idiots in upper management designing the gameplay here? I'm playing a Ghost Recon game, bound by stealth cover mechanics and slow healing items and animations, and I'm supposed to be fighting relentless terminators that are bullet sponges in a closed off box like a cheap FPS game from the 90's.
You have two different game styles thrown in together (stealth cover based controls up against shooter enemies that require run and gun tactics), which is totally not enjoyable for this type of game. How completely idiotic is the design here. It's the same with the main campaign, rather than an interesting multi activity hunt and chase, you get this lame uninspired bullet-sponge boss fight in a closed box. You need to hire some more imaginative people to design these games and fire the boring unimaginative nimrods, because this is absolute garbage.
I agree with the criticisms of bullet spongy enemies. Although, it sort of makes sense for the T-800's. However, I disagree with your comments on running and gunning in Ghost Recon. I think the strength of both Wildlands and Breakpoint is that you can be stealthy and as tactical as you like but then you get decent shooting mechanics and can run and gun if **** goes sideways.
Yeah, that was particularly annoying, especially as you went from cut scene straight into combat.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
What can make GR better? I can name a few
Keep it 3rd person ADS first person or give a option for 3rd and 1st person view
Give us realistic TTK
Provide actual warfare modes
Return smoke Grenades(does Ubisoft even know how to put this in games anymore)
Give us realistic speed not flash vs sonic gun fights
Better gunsmith
Remove all super powers
Make the guns feel and sound like guns
Overall improve game play on the feel and encounter for the player
Boss fights doesn't have to be boss fights of bulletsponge
-maybe have the boss hold the hostage with a gun pointing to the hostage head
-set it to be a headshot only to secure hostage in that circumstance
-set a mission so the boss don't suicide by killing himself
-extract the boss instead of killing all the time
Anything can make a boss fight better
This just to name a few off a big list I have. Honestly there can be improvement in everything

The last bit about bosses..... Regardless of how some felt about Wildlands representing GR, etc., one of the things I could appreciate about that game was exactly what you mentioned.
Bosses don't need to be bullet sponges. There are ways to make them more challenging by making them harder to get to as was the case in WL for the most part. This could be in the form of infiltrating a base, intercepting a well armed convoy, a manhunt, etc. ....or change the ROE from elimination to capture as mentioned. There are a lot of creative ways to do this but the idea of high TTK "boss fights" is just flat-out lazy IMO.
I can get behind every point on your list. If Ubi could deliver a GR game focused on aspects like that, I would be one of their biggest supporters.
Another list for Ubisoft to pin on their wall.Originally Posted by xxFratosxx Go to original post
Exactly. We can only hope and dream from this point. For some reason high TTK has been they motive and I can only imagine the TTK for those who going to be up against aliens in R6 extraction. Imo it seems like TTK has been a issue since The Division 1 release. So far Ubisoft stayed attached to that formula for some reason. When I encounter bosses I don't feel satisfied just dumping bullets. Imagine if Rockstar did that for its GTA boss fights. So many people would be upset like we are. I don't feel rewarded when doing so unless its for a genre that fits that category.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
