    issue is.. no cares lol.

make no mistake the new AC is not a "Social Stealth" game anymore. it is a RPG focus game now that pretends to still be "AC" to snag the old crowd that still thinks that "This Time" UBI is listening to them. looking at the numbers it worked. they got the old crowed to buy in again and expanded their market to boot.
Again, I know where you are coming from and they did the same with the Far Cry franchise IMO culminating with FC5. ....but I think the GR community has already proven to be different than others in this regard.

It's inevitable at this point. In all likelihood, Frontline is too far along in development to make fundamental design changes, and Ubisoft has already spent resources on making it. They'll ship it out to minimize their losses, and once again all we can do is sit around and hope their next GR project gives us what the GR community actually asks for.

    on a side note.
One of the issue with UBI is that they do not understand that "Tom Clancy" as a name and brand only holds wright to old people. the crowd they are seeking have no clue who or what a "Tom Clancy" is. Thus using Tom Clancy and Ghost Recon IP name to get a Looter shooter going or BR does not work. The names means nothing at all to those crowd.

Division would have sold the same amount with or without "Tom Clancy". in Fact at this point i think that branding is just hurting their Sales. any time they use it they are just creating negative PR about how said game is not Realistic. what UBI needs to learn the issue is not them creating a Looter shooter or a BR game but trying to boost sales with IPs that have no meaning or value to said target market to begin with. so all they are left with is a piss off old community which is what gets echo in their youtube videos which than the 15 year old jumps in... sees the hate, the thumbs down, and than they feel like they have to join in on the hate lol

On the other hand, perhaps they were trying to bamboozle the few old farts that know about Tom Clancy? I know that I did look into it when I saw the name of the game but of course I was lucky enough to know that it wasn't going to come with a campaign and the icing on the cake was when I saw a guy, point blank, unload a full mag onto someone else and the dude didn't even flinch once... that is when I knew the TC name was being tossed as a punch line.

Ubisoft has made it so, that the only satisfaction I can get from their games anymore, is whenever they get cancelled or killed off, and this, this is no exception.

I'll stick to GRAW2' Firefight mode and OFP:RR on PS3 until this trend manages to revert itself.

    As if...

    News flash: they don’t care.

AT BEST, they’ll hold off for a minute, release some half-glutted statement saying “We hear you, we value your opinion” and then release the same crap anyway.

If this reaction to Frontline came as a suprise to anyone at Ubisoft I really don't know what we as community members can even say anymore.

This indefinite delay to testing and hopefully also on the development of this nihilistic cash grab is probably (hopefully) another wake up call to these people over at Ubisoft.

But I would had assumed and hoped the last wake up call they got with Breakpoint wouldn't had been forgotten so soon.

they knew the GR base would not like it... what they misread was that not even the casual market likes it. that is what they failed on.
UBI is so wanting to drop this community like a hot potato and gather a bunch of 15 years old.
they are trying to do another AC. where they drop the old but gather all the new players that are into Microtransactions. All they need is to make it happen once and than there is no going back.
Exactly what I think as well.

They did it with R6 years back. They won with AC Odyssey. They won with WD. GR is next

    FC will follow shortly

Kotaku: “Ubisoft Postpones Closed Beta For Ghost Recon Frontline, The Game Nobody Asked For”. Oh gawd I LOL’ed! #SorryNotSorry 😂

Really though, Frontline does not affect me all that much, personally, it’s just something I’d sooner choose to participate in a snuff film than touch, like, ever. I’ll just ignore it.

I’m more interested in the conversation of, just how tone deaf Ubisoft seems to be; what are they smoking; how long have they been drinking bleach; could it be that this company is actually being run by escapees from an insane asylum who took over the identities of its former employees; are they willing to take the “Am I a Troll?” test online; do they need help and/or rescue?

I mean, seriously, what the heck is going on??? Talk to me. This is a safe zone.

    With love and understanding,
    Q. 😘
