I'm not positive, but I think there is also a practice mode that you can play against bots in COD Warzone as well. Might be something you would enjoy.Originally Posted by jmagnum50 Go to original post
....just saw your response after I posted but yeah, Plunder was not really battle royale though. However, their BR mode did or does still have the Gulag where you would respawn and be pitted against another player in an arena where you would fight for your life. The winner would be placed back into the match and the loser would be out.Originally Posted by Church367A Go to original post
You are so right about all of the negative responses to Frontline. That like to dislike ratio was off the chain!!Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
Thats the same thing I was thinking when I read that. LMAOOOOO!!Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
Im a Division guy myself, but I have a really bad feeling that The Division Heartland is going to flop.Originally Posted by Eagle-eyezx Go to original post
Yeah, that right there makes me cringe even more but laugh out loud as well. I wonder what the other casual modes will be, Double Dutch jumping with and w/o shoes? A round of telephone?Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post![]()
I agree. I'm excited for The Division Heartland for three reasons.Originally Posted by Eagle-eyezx Go to original post
.1. Red Storm Entertainment is making it
2. It's cater to those who liked TD1 survival mode
3. Between the 3 announced f2p it sticking to its core
Although it's still Ubisoft I'm not hyped. Just satisfied there's a third person shooter and I'm a fan of the series. Hopefully the game turns out great.
Frontlines on the other hand dug it's grave so it better make some major changes cause that thing isn't GR nor next gen.
Actually thats what Mercenaries mode was in Wildlands. I think that's why I liked it. Once you die you respawn. The game keeps going until someone successfully extracted a helicopter. Imo the mode was underrated and good to a certain extent. If it had a squad mode and not just solo of 8 players it probably would've been good.Originally Posted by jmagnum50 Go to original post
See I'm the other way although not a fan of BR. My preference on PvP is essentially you have 1 life in the round. Like GR PvP of old or even like Socom. You're not out for ages like in BR modes but you die and your out for that round, which IMO is what gives it that extra incentive to play tactically and methodical, not only just in the way you play but along with your team and so promoting teamplay. Respawn modes, to me, make people think that dying doesn't matter and so run n gun. You also get bad habits creep in like spawn camping if the modes are not done well enough which is not fun for either side.Originally Posted by xxFratosxx Go to original post
Don't get me wrong, some respawn modes can be done well. For the limited time I played Merc, it wasn't too badly done as there was a punishment for dying so it didn't totally promote run n gun, trial and error gameplay.
This unfortunately has crept into the PvE modes where dying means absolutely nothing and that takes away from the gameplay. Having the 1 life or having dying mean something adds to the game which is why they gave us Ghost Mode in WL - that was an extreme version however for me as bugs in game cost you, not your own dumbness or lack of skill.
