So legit curious… to those who have been bravely and mostly patiently trying to provide insights and ideas to ubisoft in hopes of making a difference: what now?

I'm moving on. Until I see a genuine experience, that we are asking for and is implemented well. Which judging by their choices for the last 3+ years will most likely be indefinitely.

She is here to pass along the information about what we want.

The people that are actively developing the game and the Cooperate shot callers are the ones who decide on what is to be done with the franchise. What they need is a creative director with the same passion as John Favreau and Kevin Fiege have for Marvel and Star Wars.

Ubisoft needs to start from scratch. Stop copying and pasting the assets from a 4 year old game and being 3-4 years late to jump in to an already over saturated market. I'm not going to be giving anymore feed back after tons of time writing thoroughly putting thoughts and ways they can improve the series. A lot of us have. They KNOW exactly what we want, they say they hear us but hearing is different from LISTENING.

If they don't listen to what we say and what is passed along by the CM here then its on them and not the CM.
I wasn’t suggesting she had anything to do with the design choices, or that she hasn’t past on our feedback accurately and to the best of her ability. I was simply saying that she seemed to be excited about the news we were about to get and seemed to imply we would be as well. If she thought we’d be pleased with Ghost recon Fortnite…sorry, Frontline, she simply misjudged us. That surprises me, because she seemed pretty tuned in.

    As for the rest…I agree.

I think I’m done. I’ll join in on the discussions here for a little longer, to see if there’s any response to the sh1t storm from Ubisoft. I’ll play motherland, but then I’ll be done with Ubisoft for good.

Think I'm just going to post discussion topics on Insurgency Sandstorm, Ground Branch, and other tactical shooters on this forum in protest. Either I'll get banned or others will join in lol.

She said she was genuinely excited about it on Reddit:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/GhostRecon/...is_up/hfl8m6v/

I had a hunch but the hype was from me and was genuine I am happy to be part of this game and team and i'm digging through all the responses to the showcase.
That was in response to a comment I made, trying to give her the benefit of the doubt:

They really tried. And Ubi-Toon absolutely knew what the reaction would be. She's seen more than enough of our discussions to know that we wouldn't be excited for this. I'm guessing she had orders to try to hype it up. I can't imagine she was that out-of-touch that she thought we'd actually be excited for this.
The post itself was titled "They really tried hyping this up."

Ultimately, it doesn't matter because she has zero input on creative choices, but as someone who supposedly passes along our feedback, she was incredibly tone-deaf with respect to what she knew would be a disappointment to the community. And I say she was tone-deaf because she kept using those gift/present emojis on Reddit, here, and on Twitter, as if to say the stream would feel like a gift to the player base. And if she's so tone-deaf that she'd try to hype up the stream knowing full well it would be contrary to our feedback, after having read and passed along that same feedback, then that's an indicator of which feedback the community team is passing along or the manner in which that feedback is being passed along to the dev team. And even at best, for the community team to be that tone-deaf means for sure, the devs are at least as tone-deaf if not more so.

Yeah I wasn’t trying to put blame on ubitoon so much as to try and get my head around how someone responsible for moderating this community could be under any impression that Frontline was going to land with anything other than a resounding thud. He clearly has no empathy for the community here who, by and large, just want an experience that makes an effort to respect the elite nature of special forces and the remarkable individuals it takes to get the work done. We just want to “do the thing-“ imitation is the truest form of flattery type stuff.

From what I’ve gleaned so far- All we want to do is the heroes’ work from the safety of our own homes- making a difference with the decisions or sacrifice we decide is warranted for our play style and how we decide to address the “problem.”

Give me a community of people in despair My team and I can help, an enemy I can trash but respect and an objective that rewards the time I spend completing it by respecting my intelligence.
