However, I doubt that'll happen since the server's for the old games is shutting down. Still let's see how Ubisoft will handle the anniversary. Either rise GR to its feet or bury the franchise. Focus on the game and not a 10 minute discussion on someone heritage.

I'm super with you and couldn't agree more. I don't care that your staff has multi-colored hair or how many of them are female. Make the game good. If it's good and I'm happy with it, I'll look into the people who worked on it. Telling me before hand means jack nothing.

Hopefully Ryo,we will see some cross-com gear, like glasses or monoculars or something, before the year is over. Though some more weapons and attachments wouldn't hurt.

So I think I have a rough idea on what this could all mean, hear me out,

Back when XDefiant was first leaked as Battlecat there was also another leak about something Called PROJECT OVR, which was very quickly taken down by Ubisofts legal team, But it was speculated that it was a new GR game in the works!

More recently in the past few weeks there was another gamer page that put up an article about games reportedly in development which was also shut down by Ubisoft which referred to 4 new projected games being made by Ubisoft and again mentioned something called PROJECT OVER (either could have been a spelling mistake)

Ubisoft also mentioned after the leak of Battlecat and the announcement of TD heartland that they were looking at moving to a more F2P style of gaming.
Note: everyone knows that the PvP hasn’t been touched in Breakpoint in a LONG LONG TIME

So what if this project Reveal on Tuesday is actually revealing a New Free to Play Ghost Recon PvP game and that’s why there has never been any updates to the current PvP in Game

And not only that (crazy hat on again) but that Project OVR/OVER is actually now ready to release in the coming weeks and will be used as part of the 20th Anniversary Celebrations as well as The Op Motherland release.

I wish you where right. It's been so long without pvp, and we the pvp community have nothing to play. We can go back to wildlands but the game synchronization is broken there and they still haven't fixed it. The BP pvp is......... I don't want to talk about it.
I have tried every other pvp game out there but there is nothing similar to WL pvp

I don't really play with other people. If I did play multiplayer mode, it's just offline bot mode so I could play with the guns. So I hope it's not PVP only. But whatever they want to do.

I'm not all that excited yet. If anything, I'm hoping the Showcase will have some discussion as to what Ubisoft has learned from all of the surveys

Maybe. It makes sense from the perspective that the current PvP has had so little attention, but does it make sense that Ubi release two PvP games close together?

It would be great for the PvP community to get something. Anything that helps promote the franchise is a good thing. It’s definitely not something I’d get excited about, since I’ve no interest in PvP. Either way, I’m really hoping for some big developments to PvE. (Not expecting. Just hoping).

I was aying the same thing over at Reddit. It's imo definitely a possibility and quite frankly I wouldn't even mind as that would mean next mainline GR will have a longer dev time. Alternatively through it can be a mainline GR game and they want to reveal it sooner than they normally would to gather even more feedback based on what we'll see during this reveal. Anything is possible.

"Project OVR" being a Ghost Recon PvP experience would be very disappointing to me and considering the very recent release of xDefiant I'm not sure how it would make sense. It's already a crowded market and I'm not sure how Ghost Recon would stand out without sacrificing even more of its legacy. xDefiant already splendidly showcases what sort of approach we can expect from Ubisoft when it comes to this sort of game. Do we want more of that?

After the disaster that is Breakpoint we don't need any new and nifty ideas. We need to go back to basics. Whatever this new project is I hope it's a return to form built on the surveys and the lessons learned from Wildlands and Breakpoint.
