Right, I will try to not be negative and say what I'm thinking but I am just lost for words at the things that are coming out of these people's mouths because what they say does not, in any way reflect what they have produced and how the franchise has "grown and evolved" while "staying true to the roots of the franchise"

I have no idea how this was expected to be positively received and people to be excited by it.

I have to agree. I kept my expectations low. Just not low enough!

Yeah, it reminded me of Warzone and it will be focused on classes yet again which means, more tech, more special abilities, etc., etc. The only thing that sounded promising to me is various modes to try and cater to different gameplay options. hopefully there will be something like a hardcore mode that turns a lot of this stuff off, lowers TTK drastically vs. the bullet sponge mechanics that were shown, etc.

Going to an FPS doesn't bother me but I could swear I heard the screams of a lot of fans when they announced that.

If this is the only future of GR moving forward, I will say with confidence that they just crapped on a lot of fans regardless of how popular the game may become with the masses.

That's because most of the presentation was about the pre-Wildlands games and devs who worked on those pre-Wildlands games. Those games approached Ghost Recon from a standpoint of authenticity. Even Wildlands was approached from that standpoint. But not Breakpoint. And it was very obvious by the clear difference with the Breakpoint devs. They don't have the same vision as the previous devs, and it shows.

Yeah, which kind of built an expectation the next game will stand strong with these principles. That they will take what was good and will make it even better, ignoring things nobody wanted before. I dare to say they did exactly opposite, unfortunately.

Don't care about PvP so Frontline is irrelevant to me. Massive PvP battles seems to be where the money is, so it's no surprise Ubisoft is putting down multiple bets there.

I am looking forward to Operation Motherland though, and want to see how they portray a post-Wildlands Bowman.

It's laughable that the CIA wants Ito Haruhi to lead Auroa as a sovereign nation. After all the talk of the pre-Wildlands devs about looking at the news and having believability and authenticity, we get the Breakpoint devs who do this. Night and day difference in the approach to Ghost Recon.

It doesn't seem much of a stretch given the CIA's real-world history of support for "dubious" figures.

I assume she's excited for the PvP community. Remember the survey results didn't necessarily match what the most vocal folks on the forums were concerned about.

We know there's one in development at Ubi Paris right now thanks to the two unrelated leaks. Project OVER/OVR

.....but leaks mean nothing to me though. We will see although I doubt Ubi will mention anything "soon". I'm done chasing the carrot.

I honestly don't know. What I do know though, is I choose the wrong time to come back because I really wish I hadn't watched that.

I like how in the Twitter video they uploaded they wrote "Nomad is being called back to Auroa... by none other than Bowman". When did Nomad even leave Auroa? I don't remember watching any cutscene of Nomad leaving Auroa or any dialogue suggesting that he will leave. The story is so poorly written, I bet my 8yo niece would write a better and more detailed one without plot holes

Sorry pal. I think our best hope for a good tactical shooter lies elsewhere from now on. Hopefully Zero Six Behind Enemy Lines will be the GR we’ve been hoping for.
