Exactly this. I’ll play Motherland as a fair well to the franchise then I’ll be out. And if this is where they’ve gone, even after all our feedback I’ll be done here too. There’s just no point anymore. I have to be honest, I’ve never been so glad not to be in Delta company. I want nothing to do with this company anymore and certainly don’t want to be associated with them!Originally Posted by Steven527 Go to original post
The start of the presentation was quite positive - talking about authenticity, world building, listening to fans and getting feedback. It was all good until the actual Ghost Recon Frontline presentation started. After its end I can only say - sorry guys, you haven't been listening to fans at all. Sorry to be that harsh.
I thought that after the XDefiant announcement and with the direction The Division is very likely going with Heartlands there will be no such attempts for the other franchises, but... I was wrong. I thought that with the good work Ubi Paris did with the Breakpoint improvements, bringing it back closer to the original vision, there can nothing go wrong with the GR sequel... well, I was wrong again.
All I wanted was the Wildlands, with the improvements from Breakpoint and a little more, also maybe with some innovations like the first-person view, placed with a good story in a living world of a not-so-fictive country. That's all. What I certainly didn't ask is what was presented with Frontline.
It's laughable that the CIA wants Ito Haruhi to lead Auroa as a sovereign nation. After all the talk of the pre-Wildlands devs about looking at the news and having believability and authenticity, we get the Breakpoint devs who do this. Night and day difference in the approach to Ghost Recon.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
That's because most of the presentation was about the pre-Wildlands games and devs who worked on those pre-Wildlands games. Those games approached Ghost Recon from a standpoint of authenticity. Even Wildlands was approached from that standpoint. But not Breakpoint. And it was very obvious by the clear difference with the Breakpoint devs. They don't have the same vision as the previous devs, and it shows.Originally Posted by Anghya Go to original post
You are WAY more optimistic than me. I think this is the way they’re going with their games. Unless they say otherwise very soon, I think it’s safe to say they’ll be no more PvE.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
Right, I will try to not be negative and say what I'm thinking but I am just lost for words at the things that are coming out of these people's mouths because what they say does not, in any way reflect what they have produced and how the franchise has "grown and evolved" while "staying true to the roots of the franchise"
10 seconds on op motherland and a meh f2p PVP.
I have no idea how this was expected to be positively received and people to be excited by it.
Wow, you are depressing me!Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post![]()
Spoiler Alert: Haruhi calls Trump in to help her run the country, your final mission is to protect a truck hauling his wig collection and tanning bed to the Parliment building in Liberty.Originally Posted by ApexMandalorian Go to original post
agreed Actually creating a good PVE game takes more effort - a decent story, believable situation. You need none of that for PVP just a big arena for players top do chicken dance. Clearly Ubi is heading in the direction of least effort thinking it is max profit, but I expect they have another BP level disaster forming. Be interesting how their investors respond.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
We know there's one in development at Ubi Paris right now thanks to the two unrelated leaks. Project OVER/OVROriginally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
