We'll know soon enough if that detail is included in Far Cry 6.

If not, there's always the possibility for Far Cry 7.

Thank you for such a supporttiwe answer because from past five or six years Ubi has excluded many mechanics and small intteresting things not only from far cry but from AC in valhalla for example i cant craft arrows like it was in assassin's creed odyssey but i can obtain them from trees and logs all around worldmap environments and most importantly random loot system has been cutout from the game aswell

As far as we see, the game is moving towards simplification.
And skinning animation is something like an extra burden.

What is the problem with that animation?

    Yes, it adds immersion.
You enjoy it once, twice, ten times.....but then it becomes annoying repetitive thing.
    Thing that eats time.

It repeats itself again and again, again and again.

Such mechanic animation repetativeness makes the game itself more mechanic, more robot-like.
    It kills immersion.

On the one hand skinning animation adds immersion, on the other kills immersion.

The problem is in its mechanic repetativeness.
The same eating time animation again and again, again and again.

    It becomes annoying.
    It takes time.
You want to get rid of it.

There are two solutions - 1) to get rid of it (what the developers did) or 2) there should be thousands of different skinning animations. (which is hard to realize)

As for me, the better option would be skinning animals as a part of gameplay.
Some mini-game or something that depends on us. Something that we do ourselves.
Something like we crack safes in games.

As I already said animation can always be turned on or off for those who do not like .this can be permanently turned off However, your proposal looks pretty good .Skinning I think can be implemented as a skill
from hunter skill tree and that lead us to small minigame in Which good hunting means successful skinning which do means high prices in various shops and fame for you as hunter beside that few coins never burden nobody i supose But to tell you the truth, I do not know is there is any currency in the game such as peso or maybe any other fictional money of yaran archipelago submitted by el presidente himself

The problem is, if Ubi thinks a significant percentage of people will disable the skinning animations, they'd rather just save the time & resources it'd take to create them and spend it on creating content for microtransactions.

A wise and sad words but as for me this TAKE&RUN optimized Skinning looks very strange as an example inside RDR2 this same 3rd person animations wastes nobodies time but has an opposite wow effect on players to be honest i dont like rdr2 for its breaking the law Badcowboys plot which not interests me at all but all long animations is there and people are hyped up with this boring linear game just because it is a redneck bandit griefing story fabulous game eh? repetitive animations7 who cares lets feel the narrative taste

for me the key brilliance of ubisoft games manifests itself in one simple thing "after prologue" you can invest in game as much time as you need you can explore ubisoft worlds as it suits you and it dosent matter when you reach endgame cutscene the main character is the island it self island full of shells and ammo clips, what oh time you say? dont haste time! its all yours to say enough

This is my view, I take a long time exploring. No rush.
