They already have the 3rd person view locked in right? Just look at the NPC. So i don't understand why it have to be so hard to switch view's.

    It's possible.

    But they don't want to.

That's a good call and is consistent with the series.

To switch view between 1st person and 3d person - is the worst decision of all.

When you switch 3d person to 1st person in RDR2, for example, what do you feel?

    Discomfort.

Because the game is cut out for 3d person.
When you're playing 1st person all the essence of the game is crying - "Don't do it. Please."

The same is with any other game where you can switch between 1st and 3d person!
    You feel discomfort.

Game is initially is cut out for for 1st person or 3d person.
To play 1st person in 3d person game = discomfort.
To play 3d person in 1st person game = discomfort.

    Discomfort and perversion.

I'm honestly surprised to be hesitating on my opinion about this.

I love FPS games over TPS, especially as it gets me more involved into the game in terms of immersion. As an example, i am a huge fan of resident evil games since the birth of the series but the last 2 are best to me (aside from 4 wich is special).
For Far Cry, i guess i could not play the game with the same pleasure if it was 3rd person. 1rd person cutscenes are amazing. Yet... if it enables us to have cutscenes that reveal us stuff outside of our sight (like a scene between characters that are elsewhere or that you're discussing with on the phone), i'm totally fine with it. My main concern was that too many villains were just voices on the phone and if 3rd person view changes that, i'm good with it.

Yes.. but only because FPS is badly made in that game.

When someone talks to you.....he or she talks to you.
    Looking into your eyes.
    Speaking TO YOU.

    Eye to eye.

1st person experince in the game organically turns into 1st person experience in the cutscene.
3d person person cutscenes brings dissonance.
    Totally agree!

Because now we see how we look all the time.

Which means additional incentive for people to buy something.

Which means more money for Far Cry.
Kinda disagree. Call of Duty make a lot of money from selling skins for First-Person game. So Ubisoft could have done this too. Yes, Far Cry is a more single-player game, but if they have added same human Guns for Hire... This time with customization... And they already have coop... Well, when you make more money: when you need 1-2 skins for main character or 1-2 skins for each of 9 Guns For Hire? ))) And of course, all those Guns For Hire (and Fangs For Hire) should have been completely optional like in FC5 so anyone who doesn't like them could turn them off.

The game itself is very demanding. Heavy.

    Play RDR2 1st person - is a crime.
It should be played 3d person only.

    It's not even Rockstar's mistake, it's Rockstar's greed.

    Attempt to "please everyone".
More precisely, attempt to make more bucks.

They don't care that the game designed initially as 3d person will look ugly as 1st person.
    It will be so, always.

Imagine the same game, any game, in two versions - 1st person and 3d person.

Customization sells of 3d person will always beat cutomization sells of 1st person.

    *sales*, sorry!

We should keep in mind that Far Cry is an open world game!

COD, Battlefield, DOOM ....are nothing but corridor shooting galleries.
Run and shoot, run and shoot.
For intense shooting gallery - 1st person is preferable.

Open world shooter and non-open world shooter - feel the diffrerence.

Open world game, in general, is something like this.....

Yes, it can be without that dude.....
But without that lonely figure......something will be missed.

    Yes, Tonyforster10, that's the point.
    We don't see ourselves.

    Motivation for customization......drops badly.

As far as I know Cyberpunk2077 was planned as 3d person game first.
But later developers changed their mind.
Must be 3d person realization was more complicated thing.

Something tells me that 3d person game is more complicated for development than 1st person.

The problem is in that puppet that we have to move.
    Before, they were rather clumsy.
We had to move that clumsy robot, who often didn't do exactly what we need.

    It annoyed many people.
Instead of fighting with that clumsy robot, trying to move it the way you want, they preferred 1st person.

But a lot is changing today.

Today 3d person puppets are start looking more and more alive, more and more human like.
To associate yourself with that puppet is getting more and more easier.

Plus - 3d person has advantage in customization.

All this is making 3d person games more and more attractive.

Don't forget that best Sony's exclusives are 3d person.
It's not a coincidence or something else.

So, if one of the future Far Cry will be a 3d person game.....I'll be O.K with that.
    It's worth a shot.

But such game should be designed and developed initially as 3d person game!

They can't develop it as 1st person and then add 3d person.
It would be catastrophic for the game.

It would be a real disaster.

And, you, Tonyforster, asking to add 3d person option in the 1st person game, is asking for that disaster.

I think it would be better to ask one of the future Far Cry as 3d person game.
