The 20 year anniversary of the first game being released is coming up 13th November so that could play a part.

Yes, i realize that, but for some reason I honestly don't think we are going to be waiting that long for Motherland . But the 20th Anniversary Showcase s more likely to be shown closer to the actual anniversary date, where they could announce a Year 3, and /or the next game.

Wildlands to BP, it was the last mission set, Op Oracle, that provided hints of the next game. The the announcement for Breakpoint came a week later, so if they followed the same format and wanted to utilise the 20th anniversary, it would make more sense to me, to release Motherland first, then announce a new game, (assuming there’s going to be one), on the anniversary.

Of course, if there is no new game, then it would make sense for the final ever instalment of BP to release on the anniversary. However, I think with the mistakes they’ve hopefully learnt from and the improvements they’ve made to BP, there’s no reason they shouldn’t be able to make another, far better game.

My hope is that Op Motherland is considerably larger than Op Oracle. If this is the last big update for BP, I hope they really make the most of it, with a substantial amount of content and features. IMO, they need to really showcase what they are capable of. They can then give more time releasing Motherland mid October and announcing the new game on 13th November, probably to be released late 2022 or sometime in 2023.

I certainly share this hope but expect the bare minimum. At this point I wouldn't be suprised if Motherland missed the anniversary date completely and then dropped without much fanfare at some random date.

There is definitely a new GR game coming. Whoever leaked the XDefiant information, also claimed that there was a Ghost Recon OVR in development. This was confirmed in the recent Nvidia leak, that listed a Project Over from Ubi Paris. .

One leak isn't confirmation, but two leaks from unrelated sources is pretty solid. .Ghost Recon OVR and Project Over, are too similar to be coincidence. Then you add in the fact that Ubi Paris has historically only been the lead studio on three franchises, Ghost Recon, Just Dance and Raving Rabbids. Plus since Ubi Paris is listed as the developer, the chances if the next game being Virtual Reality as speculated, highly unlikely, since they've never created an VR game before.

Here's hoping we get some nice 70's disco and 80's hip hop songs in the next Ghost Recon game.

What kind of shoes do you think they will introduce? I am not much into Tap shoes myself, even though I can appreciate how hard it is to dance in them..

only if those taps shoes give me a +10 accuracy versus annoying NPCs. Maybe leila44 could do something to make this game great.
