After watching the "legacy annoucement" and the 5min trailer for OP Motherland. First, who is that guy making the speech?
Than, 20min of blahblah about "how Tom Clancy Ghost Recon games are great".
We had that short teaser for GRBP, that already starts badly "the CIA has been working covertly with the Outcasts to turn Auroa into a sovereign country..." where in hell have you seen someone declaring the appartement he rents become a sovereign nation? Auroa isn't a US territory, it's leased from New Zeland, I doubt that New Zeland would appreciate that in the first place.
Secondly, the "...CIA has been working covertly with the Outcasts..." but nobody cared about us? The CIA has been here all this time and pops out like this?
Now Russia is involved and have boots on Auroa, but we haven't been able to get off that forsaken island once in 2 years?
The cherry on top: Ghost Recon Frontline. From what we saw in the trailer, the "superduppernewgame" is nothing else than a battle royal reusing almost all assets from GRBP (weapons, clothes, want to bet gadgets too)... from what I remember Ghost Recon is about a very secretive special force unit and now we are supposed to battle each other?
3 months ago, or so, Ubisoft was looking for someone to organise the narrative of Tom Clancy's games... I'm starting to believe they haven't hired the right person.
