    Spitfire reweighing, 3 odd tons of Griff powered Mk 19, Aircraft is rigged into the level position IE take off and level flight, one pic shows the view possible over the nose, the other 2 well............ bet you havent seen anything like this before

    BTW when in the level position as in take off, the prop clears the ground by about 7-8 inches only.... Needless to say copyright remains mine on all images.

    It has to be lifted from above and what exactly is wrong with a fork lift?, heck you can even buy crane jibs for them, it allowed minute adjustments to be made to get it both central and level and you would not get an overhead gantry in.

    Is this Fork Snobbery I detect?
