    Pick 2 things

In the vein of these surveys which I think are amazing, and I really hope ubi do something constructive with the ideas and feedback. Just wondering that of all the issues and ideas from the community, what 2 things would people want to prioritise to have changed?

For me most of the cosmetic things that bug me or things I'd like, although would be cool, wouldn't make or break the game. Whereas sorting out ai teamate intelligence and behaviour with a better, more detailed command wheel is a game changer.

While a better gunsmith would be great, an ai pilot/driver to taxi you to and from infil/exfil, so would could hop out or fast rope on target, or halo jump into an area without the helo plummeting to earth beside us would be euphoria inspiring.

So if you could only choose 2 things to have put in the game, from all the ideas the community has put forward, what would the 2 things be? What would you prioritise?

If i could choose just two things, they would have to be this

    1. There needs to be a fundamental step change with a the Studio hierarchy's insistence on NDA requirements.

Realistically what is the point in them having the community development team and delta Coy if the first thing they do is automatically tell them they cant actually tell us anything until they say so (by that time nearly always to late to be meaningful). i use this analogy all the time the studio treats the fans, dc members and in my eyes the community team the same way - they treat us like mushrooms constantly left in the dark and fed maun

I would be willing to guess that people like Blue and UbiT00n would love to be able to share what little extra information they have to physically create constructive conversations well in advance of any new content coming so that if needs be it could be altered before hand or potentially cancelled before they've put dev time into it

    2. There needs to be more transparency and a proper commitment to a meaningful regular 2 way communication between the fan base and the studio. this has to be one of Ubisoft's main priorities especially for the next game.

this could include (but is not limited to)
    * weekly updated statements covering common known issues and what they're doing to address them
    * what if any issues they hare having trouble fixing without breaking or fundamentally changing other aspects of the game
    * regular small teasers on what they have planned for coming updates
    * regular polls and surveys carried out and sent across all of their official social media platforms as well as through email
    * fortnightly podcasts with different members of the dev team, community engagement team, marketing team etc. covering the overall state of the game with a time window allotted for fans to ask questions

I'm not going to bash the community team though as i think they're doing the best they can with the limitations placed on them from senior management, whilst constantly being used as the cannon fodder.

Were I to change two things it would be to improve the AI with a faster response, longer visual detection range, and actually coordinate with some tactics when fighting you. The AI really ruins the game as is, being so poor. The second change I would make is up the squad count and multiplayer count to a total of 6. This larger squad is something that defined Ghost Recon for me from OGR up to GRAW 2 while playing co-op. I really want to have an actual squad and not the limited team. Again, AI needs improvements there as well.

Were those two things changed I imagine that I would actually start playing the game regularly. Yes the story and setting would still be horribly lackluster among so many other issues, but the enemies would at least present an entertaining opponent where I could have something of the classic feel the earlier games provided with just those two changes.

Ok, but if we are talking about Breakpoint, and not a future game, people have to be realistic in their expectations. Yes, there are certain things that, as much as we would love them, have a 0% chance of being added to Breakpoint, at this point of its lifecycle. So they are not going to be adding any game changing features, like expanded AI controls, or changes to the core gameplay. So at most, all we can hope for is some decent cosmetics, minor Gunsmith improvements (like universal scopes), some compelling story content with Op Motherland, and hopefully a decently populated Moa Island.

Oh I definitely expect nothing, but the motherland update eventually. But I can dream.

The level and quality of the communication we're getting from the developers. Right now, it's nothing. We literally don't hear from them at all. That would change. We'd hear from them at least monthly if not bi-weekly. That's the level of communication. The quality of communication would also change: they'd give us regular teases, hints, and sneak peeks at upcoming content. They'd explain their vision for the game, their limitations in developing certain systems and features, and acknowledge the community's vision for the game (i.e. the charter). They'd engage in discussions with community members and Delta Company members regarding the future of the series.

That's the #1 priority imo. Without that, I don't think we'll ever see meaningful change to this series.

As for a #2, I think it would have to be AI behavior, including enemy behavior, friendly combatant behavior, AI teammate behavior, and civilian behavior. That's the biggest thing that would improve the gameplay, imo. Enemies, friendlies, and AI teammates need to shoot from cover instead of out in the open. They need to push up on their enemies, and coordinate their movements when doing so: aka, they need to actually bound from cover to cover, and try to suppress their opponents. They need to stop throwing grenades aimlessly and they need to actually run away from grenades instead of just standing there and getting blown up. They need to go prone and shoot. There need to be enemies equipped with LMGs.

Sentinel, Wolves, and Ghosts need to also shoot semi-automatic using ARs, because they'd be trained to do so. AI gun damage also needs to be looked at so that it makes sense, and is balanced. Civilian AI need to actually run away from gunfire instead of just cowering where they are. All Sentinel personnel should also wear plate carriers. When it comes to their patrols, they should be utilizing all of their vehicles. Ground patrols should randomly assign a Sentinel vehicle for patrol from among their selection pool of vehicles. That should include the Incursion and Coercion. For air patrols, Sentinel should also have randomly-generated vehicles to include the gatling variants of the Opheis, Deinos, and Overseer. Enemy vehicles should be filled to max occupancy as well, imo. This would also be great as a Ghost Experience setting parameter.

If they could have water patrols moving around the shoreline of the main island groups, that would be great as well, but that's probably something we won't see.

Tbh I'd just focus on a new Ghost recon and spend 5 to 6 years developing it

If we are talking on a new game:

    # 1 ... And if I can count Enemy and Teammates into 1 of the things then that would be it... a more mature Enemy & Teammate AI representing new technology, realistic movements & behavior (within the gaming world), flanking, etc. etc.

    # 2 ... More precise weapons and ergos, less bullet sponge, suppresors work even better than Un-suppressed no BS.

If we are talking for Breakpoint:

I don't expect anything and I do expect more of the same so I rather not even comment further.

If I could pick 2 things that I would change in Breakpoint to make it something I would even open ever again...

    1) Unhitch the "starwars cosplay" trailer (or at least be able to choose a "theme" for "Skrell" or "Skell" -whatever it is- and Wolf troops that put you on a "realistic" side or a "star wars" side.) I'd seen some threads that made it look like other options existed or were already modelled unless that was just an enthusiastic player's version or wishful thinking... Of course the whole raid thing is here to stay so that pretty much forces the cosplay angle- and some people enjoy that so let them have it.
1a) Disengage the warp drive from helicopters.

    2) Make what you choose to "wear" matter... more protection / armor, less concealment and maneuverability... (etc)
2b) Tune the battle belt and add braids. Less raid More BRAID!

I didn't play long but of all the things I thought really turned me off of what I was expecting... those were a couple of low hanging fruits that come to mind.
