If these games are aimed at adults, then we need to act like adults. No need to try and pick fights or bully people.
I think most of the issues here lie on the differences in our cultures and up bringing, some get insulted right away and some other may think what they said wasn't insulting, mea culpa on both counts I guess.

Now, being said that, if people are getting hot around the collar for something someone said on the internet, I gotta be honest, choose another sport because this one will give you an aneurism sooners than one would want to. I may have disagreements with some or most here but that is because I don't like it when someone tells me how I need to behave before they check themselves in the mirror and that does happen quiet a few times here and it is understandable but things need to be more unbias and consistent and not just uphold the law whenever one chooses.

    My 2 worthless cents

Ubisoft developers are the problem here. They are the ones causing the division by not listening to anyone here in the forums. You want a better environment then take it up with the developers of this game first! They are the ones who are deaf and are causing the frustration here! Not the community! It's their fault for cultivating such division. Not us! They've made their bed and now they have to sleep in it! Perhaps the company should actually follow through and mean what they say when they say "we're Listening"

This is where I think your wrong it’s not the community team or the Devs, it’s senior management and the marketing team who’ve slapped everyone with NDA after NDA consistently stopping any real chance of 2 way communication with the various fan bases. I think they are actually listening but the problem is that they’re then being gagged by the hierarchy instead of being able to reply to specific requests without having to jump through lots of hoops and red tape.

Sandi, it depends really, in some corner you hear that the Studio has full power to do as they please, in some other that the shareholders, others the CEO or Higher ups so... who is to say the blame is on here?

You know why they don't communicate? Because it requires promises on their end. Promises create deadlines and when they don't deliver we'll hold them accountable for it. More often than not development of content is kept in check at every level. Things go from white board to rough drafts to implementation only to be scrapped at the last moment. I can't speak for them but you can bet there are low to mid level devs who pour their heart into the game only to be taking off a project they are working on to do something else that serves another purpose. What's wanted by fans is not always feasible or productive. They're in a tough spot. In the end, we're all adults here and ya know what I'm about to say...It's a business and money pushes the machine forward. Upper echelon will try to meet quarterly goals so that investors get their return.

Whatever. Other development studios have the same demands and challenges, and they communicate much more frequently. No, it's not just "business" to fail to communicate with your customers. That's bad business. Any good company will tell you that. No, the reason they don't communicate is simply because they don't want to. They haven't wanted to since Wildlands. It has nothing to do with the business of the publisher. It has everything to do with the development studio that's working on the post-launch game, whether that's Ubisoft Paris or another studio. And that's because it's the studio leadership that is choosing not to communicate, because other Ubisoft studios communicate more frequently, meaning it's not a publisher mandate for every studio they own.
