12 minutes of Far Cry 6 gameplay

    Here is a video:

Looks like New Dawn system with tiered weapons and enemies are coming back. At least, there is again lifebars above enemies and those lifebars have sections (1 or 2 shown in the video). Transitions between First Person gameplay and Third Person look awful and disorienting. That moment when hero jumps from helicopter into the base and in the air screen goes dark and cutscene begins - it is just horrible! Some enemies take little damage from gunfire and deal a lot of damage to the player.

On a positive note - NPC can revive player so there might be a chance that we can get Guns For Hire too. I just hope. But overall, I'm kinda disappointed. Game looks more like New Dawn in terms of gameplay. than Far Cry 5 which was much. much better than New Dawn. And I really hated New Dawn system because it was really restricting in terms of exploring the world - until you got new gear, you can't go into some areas while Far Cry games was always about free exploration, when you could go into any area and fight there.

I was able to watch it before Ubisoft took it down. The enemies may have heath bars, but they still die rather quickly especially with headshots. It seems very comparable to Far Cry 5, especially the shotgun. You deal less damage at longer range while they die instantly at close range. I like that there's restricted airspace in this game now, which will make it more difficult for attack helicopters. It really made the game easy in Far Cry 4 and Far Cry 5.

So apparently there's a mission briefing screen with the character talking to you, which I'm assuming this addresses the problems that happened in Far Cry 5 and New Dawn. Due to the nature of an organic sandbox, NPC conversations will be interrupted by wildlife and enemies which leads to a lot of awkward moments. Now it looks like there won't be any interruptions anymore.

The HUD gives a lot of Far Cry 1 and Far Cry 3 vibes since it brings back the round minimap and discards the compass (Far Cry Instincts) on top of the screen. Dani's health bar functions exactly like Far Cry 5 and New Dawn, unlike from Far Cry 2 to 4. It's interesting to see the suppressor glow red after consistent shooting. Weapon rankings return but I don't see any colored tiered highlights using the colors gray, blue, purple and gold like it's Borderlands. It's safe to assume the gameplay will resemble Far Cry 5, not New Dawn. The workbench, now known as resolver workbench, seems to be similar to The Last of Us Part 2 workbenches. It looks like resolver weapons are completely separated from ordinary weapons, so that means makeshift weapons are in their own category. For anyone who do not want to use makeshift weapons, they don't have to use them. They could just use an ordinary weapon and choose regular attachments. There are also new attachments like laser sights.

It looks like you can throw intel grenades (or perception grenade), which is something you'd see from games like Ghost Recon Breakpoint. There was that instance of swinging the machete by destroying the alarm.

I'm sure the transition from wingsuit to cutscene is there in Far Cry 5. That didn't really change. I do like how clothing serves a purpose in gameplay than just appearance. The character introductions is straight out of Borderlands and Far Cry 5's Lost on Mars DLC.

We'll probably see more official gameplay tomorrow.

Well, like I always said: if you don't like optional features - then don't use them. ))) But overall, restricted airspace looks kinda interesting.

Thank you! It is strange that there were no news about it on the official forum.

The community team for FC6 aren't really active here. There wasn't really much official announcement of it anywhere, the only reason we know it's happening is because some youtubers who played it announced it to hype up the videos they'll be releasing...

The video posted here is unlisted, but Ubisoft managed to take it down. Either YouTube is working with Ubisoft to remove copyrighted content regardless of private and hidden videos, or someone from Ubisoft read this thread (or the public Facebook group sharing this video) and removed it.
