I noticed that Far Cry Primal is on sale on the Ubisoft Connect client. I had trouble with the store when traveling and today is no exception. I checked on the Steam and Epic stores and no go... not on sale there.
But since the price is right (75% off, PEN S/.22.50 local money) I figured I'd bite the bullet and buy it anyway even with the expected exchange and foreign transaction fees for my credit card. I add it to my cart, go to check out, and surprise... first it wants an address in the local country (which I can provide but of course does not match the address on my credit card back home) and the stupid checkout doesn't even give me an option to use a Visa card. The only options are some weird thing called safetyPay and PagoEffectivo. What the heck are those? When I try to use them they require a local bank. No Visa, Mastercard or Amex? Are we back on the 19th century? Did one of the neanderthal characters from Primal do the coding for the store? Sigh, what a mess.
Is it even possible to buy from Ubisoft when you are out of your home country? If yes... how? I hope I get a reply before the sale is over.
