Well, can't you just ask your Delta Company friend to ask them if they have taken the surveys or looked at the results?Originally Posted by Sandilands85 Go to original post
Also, could he ask them if they look at the forums and reddit and the feedback or if they've looked at any feedback on here since the teammate update?
And could he convey to them that we want to hear from the dev team directly and don't like all the radio silence we're getting from them. Since your Delta friend has direct access to them, I'm guessing the community team isn't passing along our sentiments regarding the state of communication between the devs and the community. So could your friend ask these questions and pass along this feedback? It would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way towards helping improve things.
It's the studio executives that decide what information is made public, and when. But that doesn't mean that individual devs (who are also under an NDA), won't discuss things with Delta members, that they trust to keep it a secret. After all, some of these Delta members have built up relationships with members of the dev team, going back as far as Future Soldier.Originally Posted by ApexMandalorian Go to original post
I doubt executives micro-manage production decisions like that. The production team probably handles that.Originally Posted by Megalodon26 Go to original post
If that's the case that all of these Delta members have direct access to devs, then there's no excuse why the devs are doing things like adding teammate abilities without player control, or why bugs aren't being noticed, or why art assets are inaccurate, or why ballistics aren't right in the game, or why the communication from them is so bad. We shouldn't see any Delta Company member complaining about anything in this game, because they have direct access to the devs. And since Delta Company members have connections with devs, then it's on them to pass that feedback along. That means they need to actively seek out feedback and pass it up, and not just from their individual YouTube and Twitch communities. And if that's the case, then there's also no need for us to have a Community Team. They can just have moderators on here to police the forums. They don't have to go through the Community Team like the rest of the community does. So, in my view, the Delta Company members are partly responsible for anything the devs do or fail to do, because they have the devs' ear and can provide that feedback directly to the devs.
The devs cannot work on anything, simply because they get feedback about it. Whether it's from the Community team, or directly from Delta Members. God himself could speak to the devs, and say fix the ballistics or add more complex AI commands, and they would still need permission from the studio's leadership, to do it.
It's a team, and they work as a team. One of the noteworthy takeaways I took from being exposed to how they work is that "they" don't always agree among themselves. As diverse as we are here when it comes to what the game should be they are too. The difference of course being they have to move on with decisions whereas we can hold onto our opinions.Originally Posted by Megalodon26 Go to original post
Yeah, blue.
But truth be said, if the different groups here on the forum (excluding the ones that want the game more like fortnite).
Given 10 suggestions (I'm giving an lower number to make comprehension of my example a little easier.), even though we might not agree on everything, we agree at least in 5 or 6.
We all agree that game needs more realism, better gameplay, better location, better replay ability, better story or more immersive setting (because there are those that don't care about story at all).
We may diverge on if WL was a true GR or not, if we should have the ability to change cosmetics or not, how an certain aspect of gameplay should go.
But we all agree in something.
And I think we should focus on those things, if we had those things as an basis for the next games, the devs could add the different small things as details (like they did with the many options)
Is it your understanding that decision-making regarding communication and/or creative decisions comes from the "executives" (i.e. President, CEO, VP, CFO, COO, etc.) or from senior development leadership (i.e. Lead Creative Designer, Lead Gameplay Designer, Lead Art Director, etc.)?Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post
Also, do Delta Company members have direct contact information for devs and how has the process been when contacting them? Do you hear back often or little, or somewhere in between?
As well, has there ever been discussion among DC members about gathering feedback from the entire community before ASQD Gaming and Sandilands made their surveys?
Finally, have DC members ever raised concerns/issues with the development team and/or community teams regarding the level of communication coming from them, and did you all ever get any response as to why communication is the way that it is?
.....but that's exactly why Ubi made drastic changes internally after Breakpoints failure as they felt their franchises were borrowing too much from one another and losing their identity. The changes were supposed to lead to more autonomy for the teams working on these franchises.Originally Posted by ApexMandalorian Go to original post
Perhaps the disagreements amongst the Devs is because they are from different Genres, that would be logical and would make a lot of sense to me. I agree with Ed and throw a few more, from 10 items we agree or more than 1/3 (no fornite/zombieland included of course), but if one of the heads of the studio loves Dance, Dance Revolution while the other came from The Division, well, we can now see why we are in the debacle that we are with BP with each pushing their own agenda and also why its Mythological Behemoth is a main Protagonist or Antagonist.![]()

I've said it before but I really don't think the GR team or even Ubi has the mindset to create a GR title anymore. .....whatever it is affecting their judgement, decision process, personal feelings, etc.Originally Posted by FcAc-No-Moe Go to original post
