NONE! As none of the classes give bonuses to LMGs. I was really hoping the engi did. We still need a heavy assault class who gives bonuses to the LMG weapons. Game needs to give that class of weapons more love in general. More of them, M60E6, MG3, MG5, HK21E, MG36, PKM, PKP, RPK, RPD, L86A2, M240, M249, MG68(New LMG in the running for the US MIlitary SAW/240 replacement), all those guns, lets get some real LMG gameplay up in this beeyotch. Its not like they couldnt rip half these guns from their other games, update the models and textures and add them to the game. Division has a few of these guns already.
Then LMG Gunner class special ability: Upon activation, for 15s, while crouched and ADSing, you gain 20% dmg reduction and +15% improvement to gun handling(less recoil, more accuracy). Kills increase the duration of the ability by 2s(upgrades in the tree for up to 3s per kill). Additional upgrades in the tree for each kill giving you small amounts of healing. Cooldown: 60s
Interesting take, Knightghostbear. Mine may sound a bit more gimmicky, but I was thinking something like a bullet shield, kinda like Walker's drones, but just forward facing. Like it would be mounted on your gear or when you raise your LMG. Big enough for three people, but be careful of attacks from the side. Though I do agree, more LMG's should be added.
I could get behind a drone shield, though id see it more like Division's one interceptor drone thing. It shoots down a portion of the bullets coming at you. Would make it seem more grounded in reality, as GR titles are supposed to. Walker's drone just felt like a magical energy shield and idk....I cant fully get behind energy shields in a realistic sense yet.....maybe they work in RL and I just havent seen one yet.....but eh....Originally Posted by jmagnum50 Go to original post
Maybe 3 ranks you could upgrade it as you lvl the Heavy Support class
1st rank: 16s Duration, 50s CD, Intercepts 24% of the bullets fired within a 12m radius around you(allowing it to also cover near by teammates).
2nd rank: 20s duration, 46s CD, intercepts 32% of the bullets fired within a 14m radius around you
3rd rank: 24s duration, 42s CD, intercepts 40% of the bullets fired within a 16m radius a round you
Then additional upgrades later in the class, or things unlocked through that one challenge line classes get, unlocks further upgrades.
Things like:
Kills gotten while the drone is active increases its duration by 1s per kill
Headshot kills gotten while the drone is active increases its interception chance by 2% per kill
Then some fancy skill somewhere in the end of the tree that gives you:
Unlocks the ability for your Interceptor drone to destroy drone rocket and mortar shots with a 20% success chance
