Yeah, Kean, I heard about campaign being cancelled, which worries me. Is it all online only where you have to get an account for everything in the game, no matter what?

I hate to be the barer of bad news but Ubisoft will only listen for a short time, Maybe 1-3 years tops and then they will chop off their head again once they see their money dwindling down. It's a rinse and repeat business model and it's sad. All that work the Sandilands did was out of vain. Mark my words, when the 1-3rd year rolls around they will let it go. They claimed they were listening with Wildlands and they did for a time but now all your voices fall on deaf ears. I'm just trying to warn you all of disappointment as I have before. I warned several times about Ubisoft's business practices and it seems that the community is the one that has deaf ears here. I don't know why you guys do this to yourselves. It astounds me. I also can't support a studio that has very bad work environment for it's Employees.

    Rant over.

Not sure what you mean by an account. .....as in a PlayStation, MS account or something along those lines? I'm not really sure. There is local play for the game where you can do the co-op mode by yourself with bots filling the role of your team (PvE), but I don't know if it will require being online regardless. Not that I can really say anything in detail about the beta but even so, it's not a full representation of the final product so some things may work differently in the release.

The game though is essentially an multiplayer experience as you said. ....either PvP or co-op where you and friends or you and randoms fight against AI. For me, it's the latter that attracted me to the game as my friends and I have been looking for a other lethal, tactical shooters with more authentic / realistic aspects to it. Sandstorm is on the short list of several titles I have been waiting for that will be released this year and in the future on console.

I say, let us see what they do with the survey results. If nothing happens, then we know where they stand, and where we stand. Then it will be up to us to either eat it, or leave.

I think that we (or perhaps I should say most of us) already know where we stand with them but are too afraid to pull our heads out of the sand and realize it once and for all.

This is most likely true, especially with personnel shifts in the highest to lowest of levels.

    Yeah okay, UbiToon.

Can I have a second laugh plz?

Yeah, you're not ignoring us for what? 2-3 years tops so you can rake in our money with gaining our trust again?

I've seen this before. Gained our trust with Wildlands and then drop us once you see your profits drop.

Make another good quality Splinter Cell and prove to us Ubi isn't just here for our moneys! You won't ever do it because you can't monetize Splintercell.

    Case closed!

I have no idea how you can work with such a deceitful company.

With all due respect, I'm here for Ghost Recon, not Splinter Cell. Them making a good quality Splinter Cell game wouldn't prove to me that Ubi isn't just here for our money. I've never cared about Splinter Cell, and I don't want the Ghost Recon development studio making a Splinter Cell game when they could be making a Ghost Recon game.

Also, I'm sure Ubisoft could monetize Splinter Cell if they wanted. They had no problem monetizing Assassin's Creed. Just think "modern AC Odyssey with more of a stealth focus). The question is, how much of a watered down experience would it be?

I personally would love another SC game, but I agree that Ubi would likely add MTX's in it. After all, between DLC missions, PVP maps (if it has PVP), outfits, weapons, camo patterns and even different colour lights for the goggles, there is a lot of room for Ubi to lock things behind a pay wall.

Ubi needs to make a game with no microtransactions and support the game for years and years to come to prove to us they are for the community and not just a cash grab like the good old days. I think Ubisoft is slowly turning into a F2P only model with their games which is very very sad. I hate this gaming era where every single darn game has some sort of microtransaction or paid DLC model. The good old days where when you bought the game you would just work things up through XP. No real money involved. Just in-game progression. Anyone born in the year 2000 or later has no clue what I'm talking about. DLC and microtransaction is now part of typical gaming culture. I'm old school and have been playing the old Ubisoft games since 1998 starting with Rainbow Six and old Ghost Recon. Back when Ubisoft and Red Storm had class and actually cared about what they put out.
