    Breakpoint

    Hello,

the game is on offer for 30 dollars for the ultimate edition at the xbox store.

I wanted to know if its worth paying that amount for it, considering the content it has for the campaign plus also ghost war, as Im looking forward to play that with my friends, thanks to the friends pass. since we loved Wildlands Ghost War and we still continue to play it nowadays.

Also is the next operation going to be free or is it going to be a paid dlc? Because if it is a paid dlc, then I rather wait till they release a bundle with the ultimate edition content plus the new operation.

Also does gear level give an advantage on Ghost War? Im going to be playing the game on immersive mode, therefore my gear is not going to level up as it would if I had the tier activated.

    Thank you in advance.

Worth around $12 I think. I just play wildlands, way better in every single way.

    Hello Ritij,

Let me give you my personal opinion. When Breakpoint was released, it was a mess. Some things didn't work right from the start, like base jumping and NVGs, the faction mission reward system was a bit glitched, resulting in duplicates instead of what you earned, gear score made some areas really restrictive, and worst yet (for me) was connection issues. Heck, no single player game needs to be online only. The game pretty much felt like a C to C- experience, but I stuck to it. Wanted to get the most of it.
Glad to say it's been working out. Once ghost experience came out, connection issues have been improved for me. We got more missions or miscellaneous content with each new update. We got teammates back (I either play with or without them), a rework of Episode 3, though I hope that doesn't entirely disrupt the core story, and new classes. Feel free to dabble with each, but assault is my favorite. Other than Amber Sky, one of the best to happen this year was the teammate experience, which increases the effectiveness of your team, but gives your ghost team new abilities from some of the classes, which pretty much makes them better now than Wildlands team in my opinion.
Personally, even after Op Motherland later this year, I hope we get more. Thanks to the Devs' dedication to improve their product, it's a good yet underrated game. Heck, I still play regular mode, not to restart and bring back level restrictions, but good level perks for my equipment help improve survivability for me and help make my weapons better (just my personal choice). The drones, heck, those are just different enemy types, just be careful of behemoths, though. For $30 for ultimate nowadays, go ahead, or at least try the trial mode first, to help you make a more experienced choice. Have fun.

You should skip this game altogether and wait for the next one.

I don't play PvP but I've heard it's dead so good luck finding matches.

I believe the game is worth $20-$30 bucks for the Ultimate. As someone stated earlier, get a friend pass to try it out before making a decision. I'd be happy to provide you with one trial if that is something you are interested in. I am on PC and have a few guys I play with in a squad. Hope that helps.

I realize you have an xbox. Some people also have a pc as well and a PS4 or 5.

Basically, Breakpoint is an ongoing BETA. Much of it is improved since release, but still has a long ways to go to be as good or better than Wildlands. Some small amount of features are better, but the majority will make you question as to what Ubisoft was thinking. If you're good spending $30 in that context, have at it. Your feedback on it is more valuable than the game itself.

I don't think the game is worth playing even if it were free to be honest. I played the alpha, the betas and the free weekends after the big updates and still felt the same way. .....which is why I refused to buy it.

Now, is that going to change your mind either way? ......I doubt it, nor do I think it should. Whether someone thinks this game is "worth it" really depends on what that individual values, not others.

If you think you'll get some entertainment out of it, go for it. .....or since you're on the fence, why not just buy the base game. Is it worth paying $30 vs. $15 for the year one pass and cosmetics or whatever is in those "packs"? If you end up feeling like the game comes up short those things will be worthless.

    To answer your questions OP:

Gear score does not affect PvP. GS is all balanced no matter if you are a 5 GS, no GS as you play immersive or if you are 300 GS.

Op Motherland I'm unsure if is paid DLC like episode 2-3 needing a pass or not so will have to check but I assume the ultimate has that included anyways, perhaps? You still have access to the Amber Sky (which is good) and Terminator (not really 1 for me) crossover events I believe although you can't get the rewards for it as it is no longer live - you have to play when the event is live to get the rewards AFAIK (sorry I'm not 100% as I haven't played the game in months).

I enjoy the gameplay of BP particularly with no HUD at all and you can tailor the difficulty and gameplay quite a bit to how you like to play - a lot of options. I haven't dabbled that much into PvP so can't really give a great opinion on that I'm afraid.

The story is not so good however but is something to follow and do. Outside this, it's basically a game for just wandering and taking down bases or trying to conquer behemoths. You can also do the faction and side missions too which aren't too bad but can be a bit repetitive. If you like to have imagination and like to role play creating your own kind of story and play style while locating weapon blueprints and gear lootable around the world, it's actually a really good game. You can make it quite immersive that way.

If this sounds like the kind of game you could have fun in, the $30 isn't too bad for it.
