Just when you thing this awful company couldn’t possibly do anything to sink any lower, they do something like this and top even the lamest of their boneheaded changes. Well, not quite, the entire "curated" map pool era of nonsense in hands down the freaking worst thing this awful company has ever done to this game, but this right here… replacing bodies with some dumb **** that looks like a weapon pickup from unreal tournament or something… that **** is pretty datdang low.
Every little idiotic change like this just makes me more secure in my decision to stop playing and financially supporting this game.
At this point Ubisoft owes us a "classic" siege that reverts the game back to its original focused package.Originally Posted by PurpleRainDMSR Go to original post
It doesn't really make the game any better when you spam it full of operators and gadgets - in fact it makes it worse.
Wish they would - that would bring me back, anyway. At least to try it.Originally Posted by Leopardi. Go to original post
That would get boring really quick due to only 20 ops and they owe nothing to you. To op idk I like the new system as in the old one people could be hidden by or actually hid in bodies. Maybe they could make it optional as you only would give yourself a disadvantage by enabling them if anything.Originally Posted by Leopardi. Go to original post
I've mentioned in many other posts about how the recent UBI tampering with the game is what's really made it 'stale', and I have to keep bringing it up because some keep equating 'freshness' with constantly putting new operators into the game. When all they're doing is 'redistributing' abilities and gadgets AWAY from the old operators, so the staleness level remains..... stale.
This is yet another instance of how the "E-sport" players and the original customer base can never understand each other. People who seem to be fine with all the current changes say they 'keep the game from getting stale'. And they seem perfectly content with a 'new' operator that's just an old operator that's been split in two, with half the gadget's abilities going to one operator, the other half to the 'new' guy.
But the original customer base, which came in when the game was MUCH more dynamic, we see the 'remade' maps, the stripped down lighting, the dead body 'icons' and other content removal and we see a lifeless husk that's nothing BUT stale. We'd be happy with a Siege that had only 20-30 operators, as long as all the other realistic and dynamic content was restored. That was what made the game vibrant - it's unpredictable nature, it's tactical nature. But the E-sporters hated all that, because they like their matches to be predictable, so they can sit around for hours a day quibbling over 'the meta'.
So yes - a 'classic' (or 'Tactical') Siege should be provided by UBI. And I humbly put forth that since we are paying customers who shelled out our own money to buy this game - that UBI most certainly DOES 'owe us something'. They owe us their jobs, their business, their entire livelihood. The business graveyard is full of companies that wouldn't listen to their customers, and paid the price. Right now, UBI is angering a LOT of their customers with a bull-headed attitude and wilful dismissal of the Casual community. And it's not just with Siege. Businesses that deliberately ignore, alienate and dismiss their customers do so at their peril.
Ye you paid for Siege. You had your fun. It got changed and now you dont like it anymore. That doesnt mean Ubisoft owes you a new game (or the old one back). Like it or not you are a vocal minority with not liking the overall direction so Ubisoft definetly wont go bancrupt by not listening to you. Everybody got their own complaints about the game for me for example I dislike some of the recent nerfs and find map ban really annoying but the overall direction of the game is fine. Not as hardcore as Insurgency, more gadget focussed then Csgo and more tactical then the casual shooters. In short: a good mix.Originally Posted by Slyrr7 Go to original post
No idea what you mean by split in half abilities btw. Of course some of the new ops fulfill same roles as old ones (not all tho) but they do it diffrently meaning in some situations you wanna pick one over the other.
Best example is Hibana and Thermite. You wanna create a large opening for your team to play the obj? Thermite is your guy.
You want to set up a lot of diffrent sightlines from safe distance and open some hatches? Pick Hibana.
She maybe took away some of Thermites pickrate but didnt make the game less tactical at all.
It's 'bankrupt', and we shall see. Bigger companies have gone out of business for similar reasons. Not all at once, and not instantly, but it does happen. Companies owe their paying customers a certain degree of deference and yes, even compliance. The old adage 'the customer is always right' is still just as true now as it once was. Companies with the callous attitude of 'yeah we changed the product so you don't like it, but we've got your money so scr#w you' will pay the price sooner or later. We can see some of the rumblings with this "outbreak" game. The initial reviews are tepid at best. Without a loyal customer base, who will buy? And when a company flips it's customers the middle finger, why should they stay?
