Since I couldn't find any sticky suggestions post related especially made for the environment/open world, I post some of my ideas over here. I know some are probably not possible to add in this Ghost Recon title, but perhaps they can be taken into account for upcomming titles. Let me know what you guys think and/or want to add:
Drag and Drop I think I have read this in another post, but anyway. The current system for carrying enemies/teammates makes no sense. One of the Hints in the loading screens includes that you should pickup teammates to carry them to a safe location to revive them. Picking them up and moving takes (almost) as long as an actual revive. It would be great if there is a quicker animation that allows you to drag injured/downed teammates and enemies.
Interaction It would be great if (in upcoming titles) players can have more interaction with the environment. Having the ability to interact with objects and use them to set traps, decoys, roadblocks etc. Let playes have the ability to pick up objects pick them up and use them as (melee)weapons etc.
Demolition Another thing that can be greatly enhanced is the way the environment reacts to damage. Nowadays, you can put c4 on a tree, and it won't show any scratch. Buildings don't show any signs of damage, and even shooting candles keeps the flame burning mid air. The way damage has an influence on the open world and its objects is way below standards in my opinion. It would be great if you can implement a more realistic damage system that allows the open world to be destroyed and perhaps shows signs of the destroyed camps being rebuild, nature that grows back, etc.
Splinter Cell inspired Would be awesome if you could move more like in the Splinter Cell games, by hanging from ceilings, more routes through air vents etc. Also a finishing melee move that allows you to jump on an enemy from above should be added (as in splinter cell and assassins creed).
More variation Although there are lots of different camps, and different areas with different 'climates', it all feels really repetitive in my opinion. Not sure what it is exactly, but most areas don't include that 'wow'-factor if you ask me or feel like missed opportunites for a great emersive storyline or heavy combat.
More function In addition to the previous comments, most of the environment doesn't really seem to have a function rather than being an area where you need to collect some items. And make the items that can be collected, interesting. Doing the whole pirate scavenger hunt for example is nice, but the reward sucks. Even the Tomb Raider scavenger hunt is just 'meh' (still wondering how those stones get on that crate without me placing it on them). It would also be great that locations have more functions and also can affect game-play in other areas / the surrounding area. For example, if leave a lot of bodies in area A, surrounding camps will be extra guarded and there will be more enemies patrolling the surrounding the area. Not the best example, but okay...
More background stories Would be great if areas have more emersive background stories in the form of videos/animations and conversations. Some that are interesting and drag you into a storyline. Not just some picked up intell that you need to read. Who really reads the 'intell', right?
