I'm sure he will be much much better when his link timings get fixed, and hopefully the recovery on his bashes. For now though, ara/bp/conq is just the superior character.

Playing from console .. I disagree he's slow. If anything, he needs a little slowing down if you ask me. I think ubi might have actually released a hero that isn't overpowered for once. When Gryphon was released, it was nightmarish. But getting back on track, Kyoshin is fast on console. I think the opening front kick is mostly unreadable and pretty much lands faster than you can react and the lights after full block to avoid GB with gauranteed extra hits is also a little stupid (should be a punish only). If you don't have an opener like a push or a kick you cant do anything when kyoshin is in fullblock except retreat (but maybe that's the idea?). But overall not too bad of a hero for once. I would also moan about the tier perks in 4v4s being a lazy design but that's just my preference in opinion

He doesn't need slowing down at all.

I already know that by console you mean last gen because on my Xbox Series X, this hero is terrible.

They will not be balancing this game based on Xbox One or PS4.

i dont think they should even consider balancing based on Consoles , since the highest player base is PC

but its strange that they cant balance both Platforms differently , they might have the resources, also Crossplay doesnt exist (or Does it ?) , so it might be possible for them to balance both platforms differently

On Xbox, Kyoshin has missing unblockable indicators and they are off on timing when they do show. His 3 hit light combo in defense stance are non interruptible, which I don’t believe are suppose to.

I don’t have a problem with Him but I do have a huge problem with a not stop 2-3 of them in a match. They sit and spin their swords which just off balance you when you attack them with full stamina, and then while your worried about them; the heavy hitter Hero’s will chomp away at your health.

Ubisoft is gonna start to have to make it so that there cannot be more than 2 of the same Hero’s per match if they want to maintain a healthy game.

I think we can all agree more than 2 of the same hero’s per team per match is getting toxic. They have enough hero’s now to impress them this, just like in Rainbowsixsiege and over watch.

You'd actually be wrong on that first bit. Console has the majority player base. Ps4 specifically.

We should just give him a new button that allow to switch from undodgeable finishers to unblockable finishers. Oh, and let's give another nerf to gryphon also.

Because weeb power and **** the knight bias.

Kyoshin is scary. His kit has tools to deal with every single hero in the game. He can put ugly pressure and break any agression attempt on a good read. Full-block, Dodge attack, unblo-undodgeables (light AND heavy)

The only think he miss is variable timings heavies, trading capacities and a neutral bash (which he do not have aI think but correct me if I m wrong)

He is a very strong duelist and an average team fighter, though an excelent ganker since his 22 dmg fullblock counter does not feed any revenge or such., and by the way, stuns you out 2 seconds of your revenge if you have one

And I sinceraely don't understand the community in this game. (well, I do in fact but it desperate me)

Let heroes exist for a week before complaining. Especially a semi-agressive hero like this which will obviously take more time to take in hand in opposition to straightforward hero like gryphon.

Kyoshin has zero answers to deal with bashes let alone unblockables. For a hero that's meant to survive and thrive in a team fight scenario with his stance that's pretty poor. Not even considering the face that his hitboxes are trash for doing any sort of target swapping with said stance. His stance also has zero way to deal with people who early dodge since that trumps all of his attacks from his stance including feint into GB. So he's not a decent anti ganker or team fighter.

Far as being a "very strong duelist" goes he's not. Again, his stance has no answer to bashes or unblockables. If you go into stance and the opponent makes the reaction to you entering stance they can just unblockable you because you're not going to be able to feint out in time to parry let alone dodge. You can stuff his unblockable mix up from his stance in nearly every situation thanks to his awful chain link times. Hell you can stuff his regular heavies as well because of how bad the chain link times are.

His chain bash can give a reaction GB even if you eat a light. The forward chain bash is reactable with no mully mix because he lacks a feintable forward dodge attack and another attack to mix with it (like how zhanhu and TG rochi had) and also gives a GB to people who make the reaction dodge. Meaning offensively and defensively he's not strong. He's only a better duelist in name compared to his team fight capabilities because more of his issues actually come into play there.

Kyoshin is factually very underpowered right now. To claim other wise either means you don't understand his kit as well as you think you do or your grasp on the game's fundamentals is severely lacking.

My experience with Kyoshin is he's really dull to fight against. I'm still learning the what's and what not's, but it seems to be a very flick-lights-at-you kit, but he's also bloated with every defensive option, so it's a chore to press buttons against him. Otherwise he seems kind of meh.
