In theory though, that could be advantageous though, since if it releases in a competing window - players might download it, play for a day but then along comes the new CoD and BF and then all of a sudden everyone jumps ship.

It's probably a good idea to be honest for it to launch in a quieter time for the FPS market which would make sense if they did it in Q1 or Q2 of 2022. I don't think this game would compete well if launched around the time of the latest BF game or CoD game. Any shooter genre that has broke through recently such as Warface Breakout gained some traction when it was launched outside of direct competition.

Looks like they've remembered how much fun Phamtoms was and resurrected some of those mechanics. The Forcefield Guy. The Shield GUy. What made them fun was not just the abilities themselves but the fact that an announcing sound made other squad mates hear that you were activating it and they could get ready to get behind your assault gambit. Phantoms was a brilliant addition to the shooter genre and a huge pity when it closed down.

With the lavish and detailed backgrounds from the Division, married with this sort of pseudo tactical gimmick stuff this looks to be a very entertaining game. Especially with invisible guy. Those bastards can totally reverse the flow of a game.
