Still experiencing the "Bookworm-2CEA2BDC" after attempting troubleshooting.
Me and a friend of mine grabbed the game recently solely for the co-op experience after going through Far Cry 5's co-op without any issues. We live in different parts of the world, but thinking that since FC5's co-op worked well, we thought that FC:ND would be the same (apparently not). Troubleshooting steps from 2 years ago (and some of it until now) don't seem to work, and it doesn't seem like there would be a fix to it following a Twitter post that said "There is no official workaround for this. This was an intentional system in the game, to ensure the quality of the cooperative experience."

I dunno, if we can't play the game as a result, that doesn't exactly go well for the "quality of the cooperative experience" for us (and based on several other online posts, same goes for other people as well, that they can't play with their friends in different countries).

Until this is fixed, don't think we'll be providing further support into newer games. All we're looking for is an official fix of sorts just so that we can have fun (ours, and that of other players).

(Sorry, reposting since I think the initial post was made in the wrong section)
I still don't understand why me and my friend could play "Expeditions", but not the base game without disconnecting due to the "Bookworm-2CEA2BDC".

What about the FCND-highping-patch at https://github.com/dennk/FCND-highping-patch ? That should work?

(This would be a copy of the reply in the other thread)

We've seen that a number of times and we're having a look into it. Though, we're both paranoid about how safe it is, considering it wasn't official.

This was the one we've found (seems the same to the other GitHub link you provided, although this seems to be from 4 months ago, as compared to the other which was from 7 months ago, it seems).

We also found the Reddit link you posted, though, the 2 links were having issues with (1st link didn't load, and 2nd link lead to a questionable site that seemed shady with all the "Download" links).

Hey there players! The error you’re having is a result of a high ping in the connection between you and your co-op partner.
To avoid potentially affecting the quality of the cooperative experience for our players, the team has decided to not make any changes to New Dawn’s co-op mode setup. As an alternative, you can give this guide a try to help with this. Thank you!
