    Blood and Gore

    Hi Ubisoft,
I was wondering whether Far Cry 6 will measure up to it's age rating and have proper damage response when shooting enemies. I tried to play Far Cry 5 but the gunplay and damage response felt pathetic, the blood blobs that came out of enemies felt very cheap and the game did not feel like an 18. So please could we have proper damage response and gore for enemy NPC's?

I totally agree with this. Need realistic gore and dismemberment in FC6 and future combat games.

Far Cry New Dawn had a weapon that launched a circular saw blade - but nothing happens to the enemy when they are hit by it. They just fall over.

Same with Assasins Creed Origins, Odyssey, Far Cry 5, all hugely violent games but there no visual body damage. Other games like Wolfenstein, Fallout 4 etc have this. It ruins games where there is no feedback.

AC Valhalla took a step in the right direction, hope we see some of this in FC6.

At the very least provide a menu option that can turn gore effects on and off so both kinds of gamer will be happy.

So far 6 looks to be on par with past titles in it's underwhelming depiction of blood and gore. I wouldn't expect any improvement on that front for FC6, our hopes now lie on FC7 to improve things in the blood & gore department.

Exactly. It is possible to please all crowds with a menu option.

The more options available to players, the happier the players become.

Sadly I think the problem is there are very few developers who will create toggleable options for features as significant as higher levels of gore. Turning blood on and off is pretty simple, but something like limb dismemberment takes a lot of work and if they believe a considerable portion of the audience would toggle something like that off, they may deem it as not worth the effort of creating it at all. Obviously we don't know exactly why Ubi has been so hesitant to give far cry a more fleshed out damage system, but I have to believe at least part of their reticence is due to factors such as these.

I find it a bit strange that they avoid gore and dismemberment, but are content with having Joseph Seed gouge out someone's eyes in the intro cutscene. With the implication of such horrific violence, why is gore still such a big no-no? Who exactly is the target audience for these games, because most adults can handle graphic violence in a game.

Exactly - and we have games like Mortal Kombat, Dead Space, Fallout 4, Wolfenstein New Colossus and many others with gore & dismemberment. Not to mention much older games like F.E.A.R & Soldier of Fortune.

The lack of visual body damage in Ubi games makes ALL weapons the SAME. AC Odyssey/ & Origins for example, even "Legendary" weapons cause no visual body damage.

FC1/2/3/4/5/ are the same. Fire a rocket at the bad guys and they stay in one piece! Looks like FC6 will be the same

Going too much with dismemberment can make the game more grotesque and cartoonish......
