Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
We're not able to discuss or investigate bans over the forums I'm afraid but if you open a support case with us we'll look into it.
You can reach us either through the support website by opening a live chat session or alternatively through our social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter and they will be able to create a support case for you. Thanks.
My 12 year old son has just been permanently banned from Rainbow 6. He said that he received a message from the "Cheat bot" that he was cheating. I can assure you that he was not cheating as I have watched him play this game. He has over 270 hours, plus the price of the game and about $100 in upgrades that he saved up to purchase over the last 2 years. He has tried to appeal and was told that the appeal was denied. He tried to contact support and was told "Under no circumstances will the ban be lifted". I don't know what technology or algorithm you are using to detect cheating but it is obviously flawed. He was told that he can re-purchase the game with a different user name if he wants to play again.
This is unacceptable. Is this just a scheme to generate revenue by making people purchase the game again? It certainly seems that way given the lack of any explanation and subsequent dismissal of any attempt to find out why he was banned.
I expect a specific reasonable response, via email, explaining what specific activity was detected to conclude that he was cheating and how it was detected.
Ubisoft is really strict with ban lifts. There's nothing you can do, Ubisoft deals with thousands of hackers a week.So if you feel like they're ignoring you, just know it's nothing personal. I just did an experiment with an alt and found out that scanning your computer for viruses while playing r6s will kick you out of a match, doing this a few times got me permanently banned for "cheating". Happened to my friend and the only thing he had running was Windows Defender, now he's not a guy that will give up easily, but having to deal with Ubisoft appeal system made him know it's not worth it. I've been a member for over 5 years with a playtime of just under 4,400 hours, and i've been banned 2 times due to "bugs and glitches", if there's such thing with your account just know you're one of thousands that have been accidentally banned and Ubisoft devs will step in and fix it for you. In short term, wait 2 weeks if still banned make a new account and buy the game again.
Hello guys,
To clear up some of your queries here.
We review all appeals sent through to us on an individual basis, the details of these investigations will not be disclosed to maintain the integrity of our systems. Likewise, such specifics of what lead to the permanent ban will also not be disclosed.
Once an appeal has been denied, it will not be reviewed further or lifted.
In regards to creating other accounts, this can be considered as 'ban evasion' and is not encouraged as it breaches the Ubisoft Terms of Use, which can lead to further sanctions on these additional accounts.
We appreciate that the outcome of these investigations aren't what you were hoping for, but if the ban has been confirmed as not being issued in error, we will not review the appeal further.
If you have any further questions, please let us know, thank you.
