How exactly helps muting ppl with team kills, quitting, trolling and other forms of ruining game? Ok, it can be diffrent in some regions or platform, but at least in EU on PC, every game regardless of mode (yes, even in ranked) have some toxicity on level which litterally ruins fun. Yestrday i was blocked by teamates for no reasson (really, no team dmg, only intel in chat and so) for duration of all round. Just now my all team decided to hang out in sewers on bank map, again for all round. whne they were playing, they went solo - no intel, nothingOriginally Posted by WOTH.Lo-fi.STFU Go to original post
And im pass the point where i stoped count verbal toxicity. Things like "that should be headshot! You are cheater" its traditional weaklings cry...
Same with "bugs"... everybody crying how the game is bugged preventing tham to be ace of ace, while i can remeber only two recent bugs - constant swtiching optics on Fuzes ak12 to holo and switching on default skins on ops (which dint happen for while)
Siege 2 would be just pure money grab, which would solve nothing. There are no magical solutions, just constant cry for one
At least if they design this "XDefiant" game from the ground up to be an e-sport platform, maybe that will pull all the e-sporters away from Siege so the original player base can re-take control. Any news on what engine Defiant uses? Is it intended to replace Siege as the apple of UBI's eye?
If the company does what I suggested, and dumps all of the 'improvements' away from Siege and into Defiant, I'm all for it. As long as they restore all the tactical content BACK to Siege. By all accounts, all the original maps and such are still embedded into Siege. UBI just needs to stop throttling all that content and turn it back on again. The debris, the realistic lighting, the night maps, the original maps, the bombers, nitro rooms, terrorist A.I., Bartlett U., everything - exactly as it was up to Year2-3 before they started tampering with it unnecessarily.
Sorry for the necro, but it was said in some articles that they are going to use the SnowDrop Engine (game engine made by Massive, and used in the Division 1/2 and some other games.)Originally Posted by Slyrr7 Go to original post
the original player base was always competitive because it was marketed as a competitive game. It has and always will be geared towards ranked players not casual. The game will never get better from what i understand after the company had some complains from the females there among other things ( look it up if you need to ) they are having trouble getting people to publish their games and such. The company like blizzard, activision , and others are just going down hill. They are going to have to do some amazing things to even get the company back up to where it needs to be . Let alone their games. I hear they are changing ranked to be more about how the individual does vs the "team" so it will no longer be about if the team wins or not . However this is just what i heard and im not sure how they will make it work. Personally i think rank should be about the individual . That way boosting wouldnt be a problem. If your rank is judged on how you as an individual do vs if your team carries you.
Idk I always liked that the ranked system unlike in other games doesnt look at the K/D because the game would change massively if it did. Granted getting kills is important and one of the main ways to contribute to your team winning but if this was implemented everyone would camp in a 1 v X situation playing for exit frags and not even trying to win, everyone would only play fragging ops and support ops would fall short and overall the game would become a lot more TDM and less bomb. Even if they manage to rework the point system to properly reflect the effect of gadget usage (which I highly doubt theyd manage ) , callouts, yellow pings, smokes and rotations would all not count for example.Originally Posted by WOTH.Lo-fi.HYS Go to original post
Dude literally last season multiple console players had problems just connecting to servers for the entirety of the season like what. Lets not forget the multitude of bugs that have been present nor the sound bugs that have been persistent for years on both platforms with barely any fixes on console. The engine needs an upgrade mate. Whether that putting a couple seasons off to do it or a siege 2 it needs to to happen.Originally Posted by Idahou Go to original post
On their recent dev forum (done on Reddit, where they knew they were safe from REAL questions), UBI sneered and dismissed the notion that they should change the game engine. "We cannot think of any problem or bug in the game which is due to using the Anvil engine." they said. (Uh - besides ALL of them? Or are we expected to believe that all of the bugs, exploits, and failures that PERSIST in Siege are generated by totally unrelated outside sources? I guess we're to understand that the invisiblity/invulnerability exploits that keep surfacing are all part of UBI's 'master plan'? Or the fact that they can't get Clash to work over two YEARS after her introduction is all because somebody sneaked in and sabotaged her code?)Originally Posted by Luckydevil_010 Go to original post
While in the SAME BREATH admitting that the engine is broken for Siege because it was never designed for multiplayer games. "It's true that the Anvil engine didn't have a history of being used on a lot of multiplayer games prior to Siege." they were forced to confess. Then, in their usual display of blindness and tone-deafness, they said they will be doggedly sticking with the current engine. "Today," they said, "the engine is perfectly suited to our needs."
How typical. UBI says that a game engine which is useless in stopping cheaters, buggy, riddled with exploits, and flawed from the ground up, is "perfectly suitable" for their purposes. Well, that's UBI in a nutshell, isn't it? Building their future atop a foundation of failure. It's illogical self-contradictory statements like that which are the reason why UBI's developers never come to the OFFICIAL forums for input. Because they know they'd be confronted with embarrassing proof that they've utterly failed in delivering on their promises.
Sorry, but i would say consoles problems are tied to consoles and its one of its disadvantages in any game. Why we would all should get smeared just because consoles are whacky?Originally Posted by Luckydevil_010 Go to original post
I like Siege and as i mention before my biggest problem is with toxicity and skin bug. It kinda points on fact, that problems arent in engine but in consoles port.
But i got it, its much easier to just call for Siege 2 or other nonsence that just admit that consoles are problematic platform ... and its same almost in every game what i ever played.
Except its not a port it a full release game for console. A port is day z or rust both of which are running like **** like expected. From the sound of it the rust port is just the early iteration they had for console 5 years ago.Originally Posted by Idahou Go to original post
Secondly how is ubisofts servers messing up on consoles the consoles fault. Xbox and every other game was working perfectly fine.
