    Is Nuxia that bad?

People keep talking about "reworking" Nuxia.
There are somethings wrong with her kit. But she's far from being bad.

On this document made by multiple comp players, she is ranked as ok in duels and good in 4s:https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1157908146

This is me playing today with her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLrbnplI0mM&t=6s

People cry about her deflect. But 90% of the time it lands, It is always guaranteed if the opponent chains, most of the time guaranteed on heavies, and has a 66% of landing if the oponent throws a light and actually waits for your deflect. In some instances, opponents lighting and not following up, expecting a deflect that never came, was a vital thing to guarantee me victory. Her deflect is ok.

What she needs is quality of life changes that will make her Trap mix-up more favorable to her (either by increasing the damage or making traps safer), something undodgeble to deal with dodges and a neutral bash to deal with Hyper Armor. And that's it.

People underestimate this hero a lot.

Ez fixes: make her trap deal 25 damage. make her zone undodgeble, make her parry light a neutral bash that deals 12 and can be done by backstepping GB.

Yes nuxia really is that bad. At least in 4s.
She has no unblockable pressure, traps are revenge feed, very bad feats aside from caltrops, has no peel.

In duels traps can be reacted to with enough practice. And the deflect is mostly fine, but it's one of those things that should be standardized.

She's in fact so bad that when people complain about reworks and buffs for jorm, Highlander, shaolin, etc. They don't mention nuxia because she's literally forgotten about.

She does not have bad feats. As T1 she has gain 20 health when killing someone which is S tier. Tier 2 she has caltrops which don't even need explanation. Tier 3 he has 20% damage on dodges, which is really good considering that she will deal 24 damage when punishing far away unbalanced opponents or 47 damage when catching someone out of lock. Her tier 4s are kinds trash.

Her traps aren't that bad on ganks. You need a lot of heavy feinting, but once they land they pin better than cent's heavies. They do feed a lot of revenge, I think they should reduce the revenge feed by at least 50% since they aren't ez to land. Her foward light is very very good at guaranteeing more damage after allies attacks.

At least in console, the days of people reacting to traps are gone. I did testings with a friend of mine that is rep 200+ and he could react to the traps before, and after the CCU he couldn't.

You really should try post CCU Nuxia. The hidden indicators and no stam penalty for getting heavy parried made Nuxia pretty alright. I would say she is overall C tier, She just needs an opener and things to corrects some of her flaws and boom she's B or even A tier.

I play nuxia plenty. The problem with traps in 4s isn't landing them. It's actually pretty easy to land the. If you trap from top, you cover 2 guards with one trap. The problem is players are not coordinated at all with traps. So they will just throw an attack before you get your damage off. Competitively rush is better than bounty hunter, tier 3 is very niche considering her slow dodge attacks and small hit boxes for team fights. She is also an assassin so she has terrible renown gain. We all know caltrops is busted, but it by far doesn't make up for everything else she is lacking.

Not super bad but not really in a great spot either. On live she's a lot worse because she lacks decent defensive tools. In a post OS world that isn't as bad of an issue.

But the problem remains that her main and only gimmick is her traps. Despite them being properly unreactable they're still highly interruptable. This works against Nuxia doubly because she can be peeled even if she lands a trap. And also because allies can interrupt you before you land damage. The amount of revenge they feed also doesn't help.

Btw my friend in passing had a interesting idea for her zone. Rather than unblockable or undodgeble, (I still think it should be Unblockable) you could make it uninterruptable. Which would allow you to trade, not get snuffed out by lights, and easily beat out early dodge attacks.

    Just an interesting thought.

Making it unblockable would make the trap useless.

I've always been fond of the idea of making the zone a 2 hit zone. The first hit being the first swing. It being 500ms. The second part being the part that can soft feint into her trap. Would also be hard feintable still at that point.

It would make her trap even better actually because they would be forced to actually react and possibly parry the attack. which leads into a trap. The attack itself would be pretty strong in group fights and you'd have an actual reason to use it in duels.
