No, that would be too easy, but here is a tip for you if you want convoys alot in your scope. Go up to the islands west of Loch Ewe, and head west to the shallow white water area nearby, park, eat some braunschweiger and sardines and soon the convoys will be at your door.
Or you can head the same direction and go between iceland and greenland but on the same grid line as Loch Ewe and turn around, youll hit plenty of convoys that way.
Yes there is a mod for this. Though the convoy routes are only viewable when you zoom completely out on the map. Here is where you can find the mod:

Goto the SH3 File Library and look in the Mods-Completely unoffical SH3 Add-Ons section.
Scroll down the list until you see the SH3MapConvoys.zip mod. That is the mod for putting a convoy route overlay onto the ingame map.
I am gonna tell you my secret hunting grounds. (which I'm sure a million other people on here hunt. =p) I get up to 5 conveys EVERY patrol here, not a single letdown. Only thing is though, they are usually large and unreported, so you have to tool around at periscope depth for a bit. I am stationed in Brest, and all I do is leave base and travel N NE, going up between the British mainland and the landmass to the west, which Ireland and all that. Take the right like you are going to Liverpool and hang out in that baylike area, which would be gri square AM 61-69 area on the KM grid I believe. I will guarantee you convoys there. ON,ONS,UC,OS,and HG convoys all depart or arrive in liverpool, making that big channel one of the busiest convoy routes in the game. Happy hunting!
Because it would be too tempting for some players to just plot routes along it and not actually hunt. If you have to physically plot your course, even if its along the lines of a paper map then its a little work to do but it wont be as simple as saying HERE ARE WHERE THE SHIPS ARE! Follow these lines and you are guaranteed to see lots of ships. Think about it.
It will take out the hunting and surely alot of the fun in playing the role of a u boat captain. May as well have a mod that shows the locations of all the ships on the map visible or not and tell you what kind of ship it is so you can "shop".
We all plot patrols along convoy routes now anyway...that's what real U-boat captains did. I would agree with your logic if there were no paper maps included with the game, or if U-boat captains didn't have them. But it is...and they did.Originally posted by stinkhammer6:
