    Request: Survivor mode

More and more these days I like games that offer immersive experiences.

One of the things I loved in FC PRIMAL ;my favourite FC) was SURVIVOR MODE.

You regained your health and stamina only by hunting and eating meat, or sleeping.

This mechanic not only helped to immerse you in that world, but it made hunting and scavenging meaningful in a way it had never been in previous FAR CRY games.

It also reduced the density of the animal population to make hunting more challenging.

I would love to see this mode back for FC6.

I loved that mode and that Far Cry, but the "hunt to survive" was a thing because we were at a time where killing animals was the only direct way to feed yourself aside from rare berries and stuff. It would have made little sense to have such needs in FC5 or FC6 that have modern settings, urban environments etc. Eating things to earn life? Okay, but i'd expect you to eat others things than animal meat.

While hunting for food doesn't make as much sense in a modern context, it could serve as just one way to obtain food in addition to finding/ looting it or buying from vendors.

Well technically we so obtain meat for the baits (that do seem very edible to be honest). I just don't expect the characters to eat it raw like Takkar would. And if those were edible, it would feel personally weird to eat from large carnivorous mammals, doing so being quite deadly.

As much as I'd like to see survival mode, it doesn't fit the context for Far Cry 6. Yara is the main protagonist's home, and you would enter small towns and a city. Before they revealed Far Cry 6, I did want the story return to the roots, which is surviving in the wilderness. This suggestion would make sense if you attack outposts and then it remains deserted. Since Far Cry 3, it's mostly about leading a resistance against a common enemy. It would've made sense for Far Cry 2, but not so much with the rest of the series. Since you enter towns anyways, eating would happen off camera despite being a first person shooter.

Do we even know how we will heal ourselves? I've not been reading anything about it yet.

Well we know the manual healing animations are back after their inexplicable removal in FC5. I don't know how much you've seen of the footage made available so far but we see Dani at one point use a cigar to cauterize a wound. Beyond that I'm not aware of any further elaboration on the matter. We don't know if they'll still have syringe boosters either. If they do still have something like that I hope that they come up with some more interesting ones than any we've seen so far because while it can be fun for a couple minutes, I never found myself using them in any of the games much. Maybe the super speed boost in FC3 because it was actually fast, but they watered it down in FC4.

As mentioned by HorTyS, we've seen the cigar. They brought back vehicle takedowns but it seems like we don't have to be in another vehicle to pull this off. We can perform this on foot. Since we're still healing while walking around, don't expect any Far Cry 2 animations that involves legs. In a way it does resemble Far Cry 5 and New Dawn healing animations since we see the animation on screen while it is applied offscreen. I guess they made that decision because it's odd to see the same healing animations again and again on the same spot. Like getting shot at on a specific spot again and removing another bullet at the same spot. That and you see Jason or Ajay applying bandages on their arms and the bandages magically disappear for the next healing animation a second later. Or getting shot in the stomach and we apply bandages on our arms instead of the stomach.

We see Dani cauterizing her wound with the cigar, but she does so offscreen at the same time.

    That's good news.

I also hope that syringes are back. Deep dive/immune to predators were useful in different situations.

They did come back as homeopathics in Far Cry 5, there's four of them.
