Questions about FC5 from a beginner

Hello! I'm new to the far cry 5 franchise and I'm thinking about which edition is most worth it for me to buy.

I want to play the game not only for the characters or gunplay, but exploring rural Montana, and see the beauty of the countryside and explore the game.

As such which edition, normal, gold, deluxe should I buy? Also, which DLC would you guys recommend me to go for?

As a last question, is there multiplayer in this game, and is monetization a large part of the gameplay experience?showbox speed test

The base game gets you all the exploring Montana you will get from FarCry5. The DLC aren't about Montana and instead are interesting side games. You have Mars DLC, which takes place on the planet Mars, you have a Vietnam DLC taking place during the US Vietnam war, and you have a Zombies DLC.

    1) Mars is a fun play with really overpowered weapons(that are unlocked in base game), more of a fun romp with interesting mechanics and is good for one or two plays.
    2) Vietnam is to me the best DLC, with a bit of a varied play styles, encouraging stealth and different difficulties.
    3) Zombies...yeah, played like 2 missions of it and quit it without finishing.

IF you don't want FarCry New Dawn, then you are left with Normal Edition and Gold for FarCry5. If you you wait for a sale, you should be able to get a really decent price on FC5 and possibly even FC New Dawn as a bundle. Personally if all you want it modern day Montana, then base game...if you want some of the better weapons unlocked early and a couple fun DLC then Gold, if you want the extended Montana of the nuclear future, then get FarCry NewDawn along with Far Cry 5. No matter what you choose, I would wait for a sale on the games, as it happens fairly often and you can get 40-75% off the base price if you are patient.
