    Please: Options

    I want options —

    1) Option to turn off health regeneration.

    2) Option to turn on skinning animal animation. I personally found that way more immersive.

Options are great as then folks can customise the experience that suits them. Instead of being forced to play like your wolverine or Master Chief!

I definitely felt the full health regeneration was a detriment and really missed the impromptu healing animations. We know the healing animations are back, but I'm not sure if we're also back to a segmented health bar, I don't think they've shown the HUD elements in the footage released so far. I'd certainly like for the option to toggle animations to be there though as I agree, they add to immersion, but when I'm on my 3rd or 4th playthrough, sometimes I'd rather just disable them and get on with the task ya know? Another option I hope they bring back is the option to manually save our game in one of multiple save files! Still boggles the mind that they ever removed that and (at least for far cry) still haven't brought it back.

Health regeneration certainly in a game like this kills immersion for me. It’s like having infinite ammo on your guns or something.

I like those situations where I run out of ammo and my gun goes click, suddenly I panic thinking about how I’m going to get out of this situation with enemies closing in.

Or having low health and having to retreat hide or regroup. But it also makes scavenging for supplies much more meaningful.
These mechanics serve to create tension in combat and whilst exploring in the world.

Health regeneration kills any of that tension...
If I can just ducked behind cover and like wolverine from the X-Men my health just regenerates in seconds — it totally changes the dynamic of combat, and immersion in that world. Just becomes like Halo where your health is more of a tactical consideration than a proper immersive mechanic.

I’m also a fan of having medkits or food regenerate your health slowly.

And I say options just because everybody has a different preference.
Options allow you to tailor the experience to how you like it then everybody is happy.

For me I want the most immersive and hard-core type experience I can get.

I’d like hunting and food replenish health like in far cry primal. I wanna be able to sleep and change the time of day. I want total immersion. And I find those kind of mechanics really add to immersing me in that world.

You're suggesting to kill the night.

People will prefer to sleep at night.

Sleep at night = motivation of gamers to stay up at night. (quite often)
Which means there should be something that we can experience only in the night.

Night and its beauty shouldn't be missed in the game.

It's a feature that was possible in many FC games. Even adding to gameplay value when it came to Primal for example. Yet if some people want to play day only, that seems logical. A normal human would not go in the jungle at night when all predators are on the hunt. On the other hand, playing at night could mean less guards and stuff like some FC games did. So once again, being able to move through time by sleeping for example is interesting. I don't remember if it was something doable in 5.

A normal human will not.....but we're not normal in the game.

Less guards or more guards - it will not make much difference.

There should be something that waking up in the morning gamers regretted that they missed the night.
    It can be:

    1) Animals that are awake only at night. ( we must need them, their meat or skin)
    2) Enemies. Night patrol. With interesting for us weapons and stuff to loot. Only they must have it.
    3) Meeting with people. Whistle-blowers. That are working only under the cover of the night.

....there should be something that happens only in the night.
    Something valuable for us.

We were discussing recently RDR2 and Days Gone.....

In Days Gone they solved this problem easily an silmply.

You can only meet the horde in the open world at night.
During the daytime they're sleeping in caves.

    Where are those caves?
    How to find them?

So you have to roam in the night in search of hordes and enjoy the beauty of the night.

Have you ever played FAR CRY 2??

    You have misunderstood.

It was a mechanic that gave the player tactical options.

Attempting missions at night might be more beneficial for stealth reasons e.g cover of darkness and less guards patrolling and they are sleeping in their beds.

Nothing to add to what was already in Primal, like i said.

If I get used not to play at night......more guards or less guards won't make me play at night.

Less guards at night, going to far with it, may be used as cheating!

There should be events in the game that occure only at night.
This is the case when developers should push gamers harder.

For instance, it can be convoys with especially valuable cargo....
