Just as a PSA to make fighting against the new Roach easier (for anyone reading,) pay attention to how Orochi gets into his forward dodge mix if you're not capable at reacting to animations.
If Orochi enters the mix from any of his lights including the guaranteed follow up one and from his kick you can stuff both his kick and storm rush.
If Orochi enters from medium block stun (i.e blocking a heavy, storm rush, or zone,) you can't stuff the kick anymore but you can still stuff Storm rush. So that makes it an easy counter to block top and back dodge if you see orange.
If Orochi enters from heavy hitstun (heavy finisher, zone,) you can't stuff his mix at all. However seeing that the good Orochi player would know this you can make an easier prediction and look for orange to dodge it. I'd suggest to keep your guard up top anyway to defend from SR top and also lightning strike. Then you basically just have to guess based on which side you want to try and parry from.
Yeah I had no idea why this guy kept getting "free" storm rushes (but not actually free lol). They sure felt unavoidable but it was just my own lack of knowledge about the new moves and features.
Now that I know better, I definitely see it being less oppressive but it's still rather strong to be almost a free hit after landing a successful heavy finisher.
Also, storm rush is an opener and can be double tapped. The double tap recovery can be dodged out of (meaning dodge attack recoveries CAN be dodged out of by technicality if you add the double tap) and so storm rush can technically chain to storm rush. Lol
What they should do is remove the double tap feature from storm rush, riptide strike, lightning strike, and whatever the side dodge light is called (lol).
Neutral opener lights and neutral opener heavies can all be double tapped. Still a big upgrade to just top light double tap but stops dodge attacks and storm rush from being able to cancel recovery to dodge. They should still start chains (obviously) but the recovery cancel dodges should work as described and not be applicable to dodge attacks, including storm rush.
