That is a good sign. However, matchmaking needs to improve so low reps are not mixed with high reps since experience is a huge factor in this game mode. Also, too many players, including veterans, ignore the objectives and throw the match.
Below is a guide on how to play Breach. It's not perfect but pretty good and would get players new to the mode or those who barely play it clued up. Also, don't take the use of the word 'competitive' too seriously.
Yes, it's true, it's good to see that there are a lot of players who enter this game mode, but it's bad to see the huge amount of people who rage quit when they are losing or when they get too many executions.Originally Posted by deathtocakl Go to original post
This is not always true, because there are players with low repetitions, but they have a lot of gaming experience because they have created a second account, maybe they used to play on "Playstation" but now they have switched to PC.Originally Posted by Soldier_of_Dawn Go to original post
The video its very clear and useful.Originally Posted by Soldier_of_Dawn Go to original post
Breach is the more strategic mode in For Honor with various primary objectives as you know.
I hope this mode has more demand. I even think that Tribute and Deathmatch are irrelevant, and should be replaced by another mode like Breach but in Open Battlefield mode.
This week has been very bad and this has been an ongoing issue at least since YEAR 3. Breach has it the worst. Sometimes they are second accounts but too often they are new players, hence my complaint.Originally Posted by Sanguinius-IX- Go to original post
What system are you guys playing because Breach on PC is still pretty non active.
Yep that happens a lot of time on Breach no one actually plays it the way the way it was developed.Originally Posted by Soldier_of_Dawn Go to original post
Well that also can depend on what system and server your using as well. On xbox for honor playing breach was pretty active and matchmaking was decent. On PC breach is non active a lot and matchmaking all types of backwards.Originally Posted by Soldier_of_Dawn Go to original post
Breach is active on PC for you??Originally Posted by deathtocakl Go to original post
Getting a queue in a somewhat reasonable time compared to literally never getting a queue, yes. Absolutely.Originally Posted by S1r_Sm0k3al0t Go to original post
I play on PC on the EU servers. We're mixed with Europeans, Russians, Asians, and even Africans. Breach activity is normally at medium during the day. Sometimes it can be high and it also can be low during the early hours of the morning. Matchmaking times are normally between instant and 2 minutes. Occasionally the wait can be up to five minutes.Originally Posted by S1r_Sm0k3al0t Go to original post
Breach matchmaking frequently applies a 'baby-sit' matchup where only the two high rep players would be on separate teams and grouped with low reps. Another common scenario is where the only high player in the lobby is put with the lowest reps and all the moderate reps are on the other team leaving the high rep player to carry his/her the team. Sometimes this style of matchmaking happens in Dominion too. Again, this week alone I was in lobbies where my skill was higher than both teams more often than usual.
Matchmaking, in general, has been complained about at least since Year 3 so I want the devs to look into it.
