Using a game controller in windows

I'm playing a Windows 10 machine but bought a Trust game controller which is supposedly OK for PC and PS3.
However in game I have no run button, and choosing the weapons is only possible using the weapon wheel.
You don't seem to be able to remap the buttons as you can keys on a keyboard.
Does anyone know of a controller that is compatible with FC4 and Windows 10?

when FAR CRY 4 shipped i used a logitech dual action pad with no problem

with logitech game pads you used to be able to set your buttons up to match your keystrokes right in the logitech software .. dunno as i no longer use a game pad i prefer KB + mouse now a days

.. most likely logitech software still works the same way

and if ya ask me logitech wired pads seem pretty bullet proof ,, heck my dual action pad i bought that thing over a decade ago and it still works fine

but the preferred pad i would say would be an X box 1 pad .. they work pretty much for all games on PC .. just get a legit one

if ya wanna stay cheap look at logitech they make an F 310 (WIRED )

    https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-940-.../dp/B003VAHYQY

    and a 710 wireless
    https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-940-.../dp/B0041RR0TW

that are pretty popular as well as cheap and durable at least my dual action pad is .. it looks like the current F 310

and if you got your game via steam make sure you check your settings in steams big picture mode as yea that can interfere with your game pad sometimes till ya configure it ..had no problems with my logitech pad tho as i recall

So an X Box 1 pad will work on a PC? I'm sure I'll be able to find one on ebay

    Hi boristhemoggyr,

If you have it plugged into the PC, I believe it should work. Generally the issue with new Xbox pads is if they are using wireless.
