What I mean by this is, if there is no pvp/pvevp.
Would there be a reason for a random % on guns/gear?
Or should every roll always be maxed out, and we only need the luck of getting the right attributes that you want/need like:
crit chance/crit damage/headshot damage.
Skill haste/skill damage/status effect.
Etc.
I ask this because:
You can solo legendary without maxed out builds.
Better yet, you can do it with "trash" builds.
(I'll explain this in a bit for those who wanna know)
So there will be no reason to max it out right?
Because there is no competition to get the upperhand off or to level with.
Or are we all gonna be playing legendaries until we have maxed out our builds so we can finally do legenda...oh wait.
So do we need to worry about:
- The right attributes + random % ?
- Only the right attributes (already Max %)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
This part is to explain the trash builds earlier.
My buddy bought WoNY the other day.
And when he was around SHD level 20 and had low rolled attributes. (PLUS 2 purple gear lol)
He could already do legendary DUA solo till at least 2 rooms after the 2 dogs when you go upstairs.
So 6 or 7 parts into the mission.
(Depends on how you look at it I guess)
I wanted to know if it wasn't just us (2 other clan members & me) that kept him alive.
So I said, do it with randoms let's see. (Share play)
He kept getting kicked or people left because they saw his level.
Then I said (as a joke) do the first 2 parts solo and then start matchmaking.
So people can see, that you can hold your own.
He said F/ck it let's try it, so he did the parts.
And now we already knew he did the damage and could survive without us right.
1 player that kicked him got invited after 10min and he declined a couple times until he did join.
(He probably died with the other oh so powerful 2k+ watch players)
1 other that voted yes to kick my mate earlier joined as well.
(I guess he was done raging and had a cool mind to matchmake again)
Once the mission was completed they were so embarrassed that they immediately left.
No gg, no clapping emote, nothing.
I hope they read thislol
That sounds like it would completely remove recalibration and optimization, which is a huge part of the gameplay for many of us. (Certainly for me, and my regular teammate, and apparently so for others who post to this forum.)Originally Posted by DutchLMB4ever Go to original post
So no, I'd vote against removing large portions of the game.
Some people can, some can't.You can solo legendary without maxed out builds.
Maybe crafting could be gone.Originally Posted by CategoryTheory Go to original post
But Recalibration would still be in the game.
For talents or just the attributes.
And Optimization can be used for new content.
Lvl 30 gear/guns can be upgraded to lvl 40.
(And maybe the gear/gun mods as well)
The year after that from lvl 40 to 50. Etc
(Unlocked after completing the content)
For me it's sounds better, even perfect.
When you finally have the gear you were looking for and they come with new content.
Instead of forcing you to farm all over again.
1. You can now CHOOSE to farm all over.
(wouldn't know why, but some people like that)
2. Or you choose to upgrade your old items
(that you farmed a year or 2 for) to the new lvl cap.
But that's just my opinion on that.
Ps: they can also add more attributes to make it harder to find what you want.
And add back 3 talents per gun as well.
(No more pvp so no more crying about talents right)
You are all wasting you time... TD3...
As for silly player behavior, yes, there is a lot of that.
Last night I was redoing Wallstreet in a group of four (random) and we run into rogues. The setup was not bad, we had plenty of room to maneuver, but two decided to rush in the room with the rogues... got shredded as per the usual. The lack of coordination between myself and the remaining player (no audio) got us killed in a few minutes after... Anyway, not a big deal, it's a game...
These three guys quit the session immediately after they got killed, and I was left alone. Not sure what it means (if it really means something), but I talked to other players and it seems to happen a lot. After this and a few other weird happenings, I am actively looking into blocking players at my end, definitely not based on level but shyty behavior.
On the other hand, I ran several times into a player with a mind-numbing +13K on the watch. Same scenario, we both got messed up by rogues in a confined space. His reaction "Hahaha!!!". And we finished the mission.
So, a mixed bag...
Indeed. Heartland is a clear sign that UbiSoft now wants to chase the FortNite kiddies and try to capture those dollars, so don't expect any new TD:X games, since apparently there is no money it in.Originally Posted by Aspoiu Go to original post![]()
I think thats kinda the point of GR breakpoint gear system when you have "loot shooter" mode on
Only way i can see they doing something like that is if what stats come are random, and what MODS come with the weapon also end up random, so hey want that rifle with extended magazines? go farm one with the extended magazine mod and of course not make them be tradeable otherwise we would be back to the game launch issue of people buying 10 chests that appear in the vendor with max armor rolls only to brek it down and insert that in other slot, making inventory cluttered. Exotics having consistent stats feel fine.
Hilariously i made many jokes how this game would end up with static gear drops because people were in their rainbow loot fever thinking devs were literally sabotaging gear saying that community pressure wouldn't stop until all brand sets had static rolls such as Petrov having always crit chance and weapon handling and so on.
Did the guys who rushed in have a HF build using scorpio and the firewall shield? I've been seeing A LOT of those guys lately. Those and all blue Liberty/Bulwark regen builds that take 30 seconds to down a redbar.....Originally Posted by Aspoiu Go to original post
