Issues with the 2D versions of the maps

    Dear Ubisoft.

My name is SB_DudeKiller. Im a French R6 player since the beta and Im the owner of the website www.r6calls.com.
I design this website to help players learning the Rainbow Six Siege maps and player callouts. This site is similar to r6maps.com but with a lot of updates and changes. To create this website, I use pictures provided by the official website:
    https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/r...game-info/maps
Then I added some layer of information on it.
Sorry for the long introduction but here is why I contact the support. Watching these images provided by Ubisoft I noticed various issues. As those images are used by players to learn the map, I think it would be a good idea to work on them.

    1. The resolution of the picture is quite low. So, when player want to look at some specific
room the image is often pretty blurry if we start to zoom. High resolution picture would be
    really nice

    2. Depending on the map the size of the playing area compare to the surroundings area varies a
lot from one map to the other.
On Kafe for example there is half of the width of the picture that covers parts that are not
reachable in game. This is nice to see what is around but that coupled with the resolution
issue makes that the useful part of the map is really blurry if you zoom on it.

On the latest map, Favela rework, you get the opposite problem. The picture does not show
the north part of the map where the player can go.

    3. On some maps, depending on the floor you look at, some parts are missing. In most of the
case this concerns balconies and outside stairs. A good example is Coastline. If you go on the
first floor you dont see the four balconies that are at that level. This a really important to
have all the elements shown to learn the maps properly.

    4. On almost all the maps, the line-of-sight floors are indicated with red stripes.
This information is missing on all floors of Club House

    and on Consulates ground floor.

    5. On some map elements are shown at the wrong floor. Here on new Favela map, you can see
a mix of the ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor. The top of the red stairs is missing. You
should see the roof on most of the picture as it is at the same level as the 2nd floor. If you
dont know the map already, this picture is very confusing.

    6. On many maps the Roof view, with some parts darkened, is used a background for floors. In
some case it is not a big issue, but in other case we would like to see the actual floor.
Best example of that is on new Favela. On the Basement floor you should see all the
Courtyard area and how it connects to the rest of the map. The tunnel leading to the football
    field is also missing

    7. On Favela I spotted a phone cable from the roof that is shown on every floor. I dont know if
this kind of problem occurs on other maps.

    Conclusion:
To summarize, what I would like to have is:
    - Better resolution pictures.
    - Map covering the playable area.
    - Floors showing exactly what is on that level, inside and outside of the buildings.
    - All lign-if-sight floors visible.
    - The outside floor or the balconies to be shown when a layer of roof is removed at a certain
    level.
To create www.r6calls.com I did the following operations:
    - Upscale pictures.
    - Crop pictures.
    - Copy-paste pieces from one floor to the other.
    - Create some balconies, stairs and terrasses.
The result is far from perfect this is why I report those issues to you. It is great that you provide
this map picture, the enhance the game experience but you can make it even better
Im available if you want to discuss this issue more in details.
    GLHF working on that.

I wouldn't count on it. Unless the mods are briefly popping by to close a necro'd thread, developer representation is a complete non-entity around here anymore.
