yes
no
What is wrong with what we have now then?
On this one it's straight forward.
You click on a genre.
You get the sticky threads.
Then the normal threads.
You choose a topic or start a thread.
In the valhalla forums it's all mixed together.
The only good thing they added is the like button.
But there's no dislike button so there is no point for a like button.
But I already know why that is.
We live in a weaksauce society nowadays that can't handle criticism.
Where if you only look at someone the wrong way (in their head), they're already offended to the fullest and gonna bring up how they were abused as a child.
As kids we used to say:
Schelden doet geen pijn.
Meaning: Cursing doesn't hurt.
English version: the sticks and stones saying.
Nowadays full grown people are almost calling the cops if you disagree with them.
And if the cops are actually called, they would almost arrest you for attempting murder. Lol
Little off topic there but I say no, keep the old forums.
Just add thumbs up (AND thumbs down).
If you really have to.
You're unaware of the software and integration maintenance consts the current forums are imposing. As am I, but it's a common problem and a typical reason for migrating. All this is obvious to anbody who's had to maintain Internet-based software systems over a period of years.Originally Posted by DutchLMB4ever Go to original post
This is wrong. A few moments of honest investigation will quickly reveal all the details about when it's better not to have a dislike button. But there's no dislike button so there is no point for a like button.
It's not that; it's that we live in a society today where people are harshly, even viciously critical in ways that would soon get them punched in the face if they did it in person. It's an interesting and unanticipated effect of the Internet. We live in a weaksauce society nowadays that can't handle criticism.

Well, we also know that's not true and, again, a bit of honest investigation will bring up lots of explanation about this.As kids we used to say: Schelden doet geen pijn. Meaning: Cursing doesn't hurt. English version: the sticks and stones saying.
Nope, you just need to click on "General Discussion":Originally Posted by DutchLMB4ever Go to original post
Sticky threads (aka "Pinned") are indicated at the top, and non-sticky threads below.
There is already a like button on this forum. The only good thing they added is the like button.
Nah, people who think this just don't like the consequences for saying stupid things. And as CategoryTheory notes, many people on the internet are willing to talk trash, but not so much face to face.We live in a weaksauce society nowadays that can't handle criticism.

I don't see it like that on my phone so that picture is probably from PC.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
Look on div2 forum on your phone and then go to the valhalla forum.
Compare them and see.
Nah people are not gonna like the consequences of accepting everything right now, in the future.
The current system you're using now on forums.ubisoft.com is being replaced by a completely new and separate system on discussions.ubisoft.com. And yeah, that could have been made more clear in the head post of most of the threads I've seen on this topic.Originally Posted by Rodnaz Go to original post
That doesn't change the fact that there is a like button on the current forum. The lists of threads is structured the same way on mobile as it is desktop.Originally Posted by DutchLMB4ever Go to original post
*sigh* if there's one thing this forum should have taught you, it's that *how* you criticize something is just as important as the criticism itself. People unwilling to recognize this will find their criticisms ignored.Nah people are not gonna like the consequences of accepting everything right now, in the future.
