I just downloaded the game, it installed normally but when I start it just stays on a black screen in windowed mode and stays hung like this. Any idea how to fix it?

Simply taking a shot here:

verify the game files to start; be sure your rig supports the game; is Wildlands the only Ubisoft game that has this issue?; check the customer support page FAQs for help and/or submit a ticket describing exactly what is taking place.
