A couple of hours ago I posted on Reddit that I was forcibly removed from the server whilst in the DZ in Division 2.
This was by done by hackers. I know this because they also had other mods and tools in use.
1) I was put on disconnect. This can not be cancelled by the user.
2) After a few seconds... Boom
3) So I shut down the game and restarted. Five minutes later I get this.
4) Followed a few seconds later by this (there is no way to cancel it)
The technical implementation of Division 1 made be abandon it after realising that it was pointless to grind a build only to be one-tapped through a wall and a fully maxed shield by a hacker running 200mph. This was after many hundreds of hours of grind.
Well, now I have just reached that same conclusion here. Hackers are commonplace and it is pointless to play in the DZ against other players because of them. No amount of grinding a build can do anything against them.
The moral of the story is, if you want to succeed, do not play by the rules, you must make your own (meaning install the cheats) or accept instant death or even complete denial of play via being forcibly and remotely removed from the game.
The technical glitches like being snagged when running down the stairs or through a doorway were bad enough, but this now makes the game fundamentally broken and unplayable... literally.
I ran a file verification from the launcher, and it claimed I had many corrupted files. It attempted to repair, but it would always claim it could not download. I tried to uninstall the game, but that failed due to some sort of file error. I restarted my machine, and then Ubisoft Connect. It showed the game was no longer installed, and I had to manually delete the old installation folder. Then it was able to reinstall my game from scratch. After all that, I no longer have those Delta disconnects. So something very recently corrupted my game files. Since this is happening to others, I assume it must be linked to Ubisoft Connect.
