Ok so we're really gonna do numbers here. Forget 1 or 3 shot. Try 20 shots and let me know if you can even tickle him.

So you think I'm lying? Haha. First of, Why would I need to? Secondly, I used to think the same until I starting playing with them.
Also, I know it maybe news to you as it was to me initially, but the boss is never immune and never was.
It looks like he is because the damage most people inflict on him is so low that it doesn't even tickle him.
If you notice in the very beginning of the video, the boss just jumped down and got smacked. We couldn't even see his backpack.
Furthermore, I have got plenty of gameplay for the full mission. So you can fully make sure if the back is broken or not. Will share the video soon.

Basically abusing a loophole because those skills/talents didn't exist when that boss was designed. I can't say it's an outright exploit, but it's close enough that it feels like cheating to me.

By all means, use it. The devs don't give a sh*t anyway. But you won't catch me using grey areas to get ahead.
That's totally up to you however you want to play the game. Want to spend an hour on breaking his backpack? Be my guest.
Secondly, if someone can finish something or kill a boss faster than you, doesn't make them a cheater. So relax.
They're using what is available in the game. It isn't their fault the devs didn't re-work the bosses as per new skills/buffs/debuffs.

And lastly, trust me I really don't give a sh*t if anyone believes me or not.
It is doable, we use this method all the time, so I put it out there.
    Don't wanna use it? Adios.

The backpack just heals him, like a normal black tusk chungus except far faster (you can see the little healing hives coming out when you shoot him) - so it makes perfect sense that you can out-damage it and kill him if you put out enough damage fast enough. It's notable that the fastest speedruns I've seen don't actually use that method, so there's probably disadvantages to it too, from a pure speedrun perspective (ie, the loadout you need to do that hinders your teams abillity to clear the rest of the adds very quickly).

As for the OP, I know there was a thread about it recently but I'd be inclined to restate that it's possible to damage a warhounds health directly by shooting its legs - I only figured this out by accident a few months ago and it made my job as a headhunter sniper much easier when dealing with black tusk. It's also possible to deal direct damage to black tusk heavies without breaking their armor first, but it's far trickier to do successfully.

Here's the full fastest run. 11min Legendary DUA.
2nd spot in the world on leader boards. 1st is a Chinese Clan I believe.

Again, these are top tier world's best speed running players.
So, expecting casual tactics from them would simply be stupidity.

Ah...the battlecry of the cheater. Always looking to rationalize their actions by claiming didn't specifically tell them they couldn't use that extremely unique loophole.

Well, like I said. Do whatever you want. It's not like the devs care. And it's only a videogame. Just don't let that mentality bite you in the a$$ in other areas of your life.

EDIT: And no, before you get bent out of shape I'm not accusing you of cheating. But instead criticizing the overall approach to gaming, and by extension, life in general. Don't take it too personally. I'm just tired of the constant bugs and exploits in games, and the way both game companies and players approach them.

*If you dont pick up loot, you'll lose it.
*Headshots are top teir damage. Not criticals.
*You can toggle invaded or Alternate missions by holding a button while selecting the mission.
That's all I can think of while on break.
You can also break those cut scenes just by ADSing.
You can Jam quadcopters as the box extends in all directions. It also allows you to jam through walls ,from other rooms etc etc.
You can have overcharge twice back-to-back by using Acosta's and an appropriate weapon skill -- seriously high levels of damage doing that.
If you MM from anywhere but the mission location you give me two loading screens -- Please stop doing that!

If I would have just waited a few weeks, the game was hugely discounted.

That I would become a Midget. I was shrunk or the railing, balcony, foot stool or what ever suddenly gets larger/taller. Its more ubi/massive bs. It seems they'll do anything to annoy a player. Also those spots where its open but you can not finesse a way to get an accurate shot off. Yeah I know --- Oh I forgot - how does one roll out of a cut scene & what is ADSing?

Can you maybe share in words, how this is done... rather amazed by it lol.

I think some rules are meant to be broken. Life is a little more tricky, but this IS a video game, so exploits within normal game mechanics are there to be found and taken advantage of. I may not even call them exploits, but findings a specific combination of different buffs that help you get ahead.

That is what's most funny to me. That some people think if someone can do something they can't, instantly makes them a cheater.
Instead of educating themselves and opening their mind to new tactics, they just want to stick to their casual shenanigans and expect everyone else to do the same.

Even a blind person can see that in the video we're simply using the Skills and Talents the game Officially provided for everyone to use.
Its just that the combination of builds and the exact timing to execute them is on point. And you can see the results yourself in the video.

Apparently we're supposed to follow specific rules which I'm still wondering by who, in order to kill an NPC. Hilarious!
